The Waterfront Bar Restaurant

Took visiting family here for dinner on the last night of their holiday, and it could not have been better. Great friendly service, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Thank you Waterfront for a wonderful evening! We will be back soon.

Highly recommend. We all loved the food, ribs and burgers for us. (They do posh food too and the specials are daily). The staff were amazing, even decorated our table and made us feel comfortable. 5 stars for food and a 6 for the desserts haha. Sunday had live music which was a bonus with many sat on the grass banks facing the sea. What a view xx Voir le carte

Hi I was very disappointed with experience on Sunday evening meal had to wait a little while to take drinks order they did apologise we then order our food then our starters arrived and we still hadn’t received our bottle of wine when main meal arrived our plates for starters hadn’t been taken away So disappointed I had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago on holiday it was really good

Can do really great food but too many issues . 1 out of 3 dishes in the last two meals had issues including overcooking both fish and burger and not following the menu , missing glazes and vegetables. Service also relies heavily on inexperienced staff. A real shame as if it was just a bit more reliable it would rival the best. Plaice special was incredible, mackerel and burger were seriously dry.

Food was nice and the location is beautiful. The outside space has a lovely view and so does part of the restaurant inside The staff were friendly to the customers. However how the older man spoke to the rest of the staff was not very nice to hear he was being very rude to them and they are all only young with many of them probably being their first ever jobs so a bit off putting to be sat there while he was being like that to them. I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a thorough review of the food because of the service. We sat for 20 minutes before we were able to place our order, and when our entree finally arrived, we had to wait an additional 10 minutes before we could signal that we were finished. Despite having finished our meal, we waited for 30 more minutes without any food in sight. We saw servers bringing out food for tables who arrived after us, but we were neglected. We ended up paying for a beer and the entree, but left the restaurant hungry.

Great food, beautiful views! A great menu, with regularly changing specials, including a nice range of local seafood. Service is pleasant though can be slightly slow as it is a popular location. Outside there are picnic tables which are very pleasant for a drink on a sunny day. Inside, large windows down the length of the building give fantastic panoramic views of Totland Bay, across to the mainland. Car parking is nearby and the cost can be redeemed against the price of a meal. Alternatively you can park for free on Cliff Road above the bay and walk down some very steep steps to the restaurant.

Gorgeous location but relying on it and attitude of staff particularly the chefs and food standards are poor in comparison to the view. We were told to order our food as soon as we sat down because the chefs wanted to finish early. Food wasn't great fish overcooked and had clearly been sat under the heater, pasta soggy and burger very bog standard. The food had obviously been precooked and left so the chefs could get away! Quite a feat to cook fish that is both soggy yet dry at the same time! Dessert was delicious but overall the whole meal was average and overpriced £170 for 2 adults and 2 children.
