"I love our experience with The Cow restaurant., Theres about 20-26 people in our group and only half have manage to book a table but the lady at the reception and the serving girl had accomodatrd us and help us get situated . The food is lovely, my hubby and I shared a roast dinner , because we had late hotel breakfast and our son had the smoke burger, Even though we are not really hungry we just want to try the place as we are going back to Essex that afternoon , a friend of mine highly recommended the place and it doesnt disappoint. I would love to come back whenever i am in the area. Will gladly recommend. ????"

"Firstly, the pub itself was delightful an absolute warren of different spaces. Loo was spotless like the pub itself, eclectic in taste. Food was first class Yorkshire puds were outstanding, I’d go so far as to say the best I’ve had. Cauliflower cheese was gorgeous, plentiful meat veg nicely cooked. Now for the bits not so good; service was shambolic. We were asked 3 times by different waitresses if all was well. The fact they had a mechanical fault meaning orders didn’t get to kitchen is neither here nor there, but after 50minutes we asked on the foods arrival we were told of the issue. It could should have been handled much better. Plates etc were left on tables for new guests to sit down to. Desserts were a mixed bunch, pavlova was lovely but the crumble was not a crumble no crumble topping but a muesli type topping. Would I return? Possibly."

"the personal in this pub could no longer have been helpful and helpful. they talked to us through the vegan options and sorted meals to suit all family. I had a roast with vegan yorkies! which was decent, cooked to house, filling and very favorable. the chips were also fab and vegan options were cooked in a separate frittier. the chili lacked a little taste. they also offer gluten-free options, doggy meals and cover etc. I was really impressed by their willingness, including all members of the family and nutrition requirements."

"Feeling somewhat put off, my family convinced me to give it another try after walking around the farm. However, I regret not sticking to my initial decision to go elsewhere for food. As I wait for my order, I feel compelled to write this review. Regardless of how great the food may taste, my experience with the service has tainted my opinion. The interaction between the server and customer during our order was below par in my opinion. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I believe that the first impression is crucial for any hospitality business to thrive. I would suggest providing customer care and service training for the woman who served us. While I don't live on the island and may not return for a holiday (not solely due to this experience), I certainly wouldn't visit this establishment again unless I saw an improvement in customer service. However, the young red-headed man who served us part of our food was polite and expressed hope that we would enjoy it. This gives me some hope that the standard of customer service may improve in the future."

"My family and I visited after walking several miles from a neighbouring village. We were hoping to get a spot of lunch but were told that as we hadn’t booked there were no tables left and the kitchen were taking no further orders. That would have been understandable if not for the fact that there was a further 25 minutes of serving time and reserved tables remained unoccupied. We stayed to have a drink outside but upon leaving which was long after serving had supposedly finished, we noticed a family who I can only assume were known to the staff that had managed to order food with no reservation. Very disappointing and we won’t be returning. There are plenty of good alternatives nearby."
