Happened upon the Horse and Groom whilst exploring the island with my family and it’s an absolute gem! Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Food is great traditional pub food. Perfect for our young children. Would 100% recommend.

Absolutly fantastic ! the staff were both friendly and helpfull and the food was 10 out of 10 ! The starters and main course and desserts were extreemly tasty and definately better than described ! Very big portions and full of flavour, we had the hunters chicken and steak, the mushrooms were extra but VERY tasty and highly recomended ! Voir le carte

This is a cozy and friendly spot with affordable pub food. The menu is extensive and offers more vegetarian options than many nearby pubs. It's also dog-friendly! Our table experienced a mix-up with our order (we ordered meat chili but received vegetarian chili), but the staff handled it quickly and efficiently. Overall, a great experience!

Lovely food and people. We popped in to see what it was like having driven past it numerous times on other holiday (usually with a dog). Really good menu, food and very friendly. My mom never finishes a meal, cleared her plate! She also never has dessert but cleared that plate too. Will be definitely be back especially as I now know it is dog friendly

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was exceptional, easily deserving of a full five stars. The service was equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring a great dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, earning a solid four stars. The ambiance is lovely, the staff is friendly, and the menu offers a fantastic selection at very reasonable prices. The food is of high quality and expertly prepared; I had the Jäger Huhn, which was incredible, and the desserts were simply amazing—especially the rice pudding, which was out of this world! Although we're only here for a week, the Horse and Groom is a hidden gem that we'll be returning to frequently during our stay. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

make sure to book a table, especially on Sunday, when they arrive earlier, they may have to wait until a car space is released! we didn't have to wait for our table. my men who serve us were super friendly and knew the menu well. if they get the roast, smaller option is definitiw enough! eating was delicious, especially the filling. everything came out quickly and we enjoyed it all. cauliflower a little boiled, but still good! the tables are cleaned and hand-anitary dotted over the square. goodness!

I had a delightful lunch at The Horse and Groom today. This spacious pub offers plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, with excellent access throughout. The facilities for children are fantastic, including a large outdoor playground with a climbing frame and crazy golf. There’s a good variety of meals to choose from, but do keep in mind that the outdoor menu is limited and some COVID restrictions are still in effect. Overall, the food is well presented, and both the children's area and the leisure spaces are well maintained. Voir le carte
