a beautiful place had a surprising birthday dinner with my son, daughter in law and beautiful woman. good eating beautiful beer and beautiful environment.

Sadly the pub was closed and the large white builders achieved outside told me the pub is closed long-term. Hopefully it's going to be transformed and reopened! Who knows?

we had a great lunch in the knockerdown. eating was excellent and service fantastic. the staff was very friendly. we sat and ate in the garden with our dogs. they would recommend!

Nice pub with lots of outdoor space and children's play area. Camping is also good, reasonably priced and space for caravans and tents. Short walk (across fields) or drive to Carsington res. Pub food was nice, fair price, good food offering. Easy access and toilets for wheel chairs or children.

A solid countryside pub with a good outdoor space, although it was a little cold for us today. Veggie options were good, a really nice goats-cheese lasagne is what I'd order again if I came back. 3 stars not 4 stars as the quality of the food didn't reflect the price, but we weren't unhappy with the experience at all

Some places you go to and it is unpleasant, vegan choices all find very easy here. More than usual selection with separate Veg vegan section on the menu “is the garlic bread vegan?
