Simply Seafood - Menu

Fish was not cooked, the rest of the food was just about acceptable. When we discreetly mentioned that the fish was not cooked the owners responce was unprofessional and said so the rest of the customers heard. We will not be returning.

First time here for me, but definitely not the last. Excellent 2 course menu for less than £20 pp. (3 courses for a little extra. I had swordfish with a spicy mango salsa which was delicious. Others in our party had different dishes which all looked equally divine.

We ate dinner here on a Saturday evening recently. Don't be put off by the outside, or the location, because inside is another story! The food was delicious, especially for those who love fish, a bit more limited if you don't. Interesting and varied wine list. Attentive service. I would definitely recommend.

It was a surprise walking into this restaurant . As there was 15 of us we were put in a separate room . It was like someone's front room . Saying that was ideal for what we wanted . Every course we had was wonderful . One of the best steaks I have had . The mussel starters we had was fantastic as was the scallops . Would highly recommend this restaurant but you need to book

Four of us ate here last night whilst staying for a long weekend in Bexhill, got the train which was so easy and allowed us to have a drink. Really lovely food and wine. Not sure why some of the reviews talk about whats not on the menu as everything was available to us last night. I had the turbot which was fantastic and hubby had dover sole which he said was gorgeous. If you are in the area give it a go I am sure you will not be disappointed especially if you enjoy lovely fish.

Awful experience ever had in a restaurant. Nice service from waitress, polite and friendly. But when the main meal came undercooked, was told by the (I guess) owner, that if food is undercooked, I should give it back to get sorted. Excuses! Would wouldn’t come to the restaurant to pay for the undercooked food and give it back to get sorted. Very unpleasant experience, rude remarks with regards what I should do if “I want ever come here again! “ and this all in response for being polite and not bothering anyone with s trouble of grilling that sole! Never ever again!

We came for dinner here on a Saturday night in November, being out of season we were expecting it to be quiet and it was. The gentleman who served us was polite and attentive.We were sat in a conservatory which unfortunately was a little cold. Not sure why the main restaurant wasn't used as there were only 6 people eating? I had mussels to start, a very generous portion and very fresh! We visited Simply Seafood hoping for a delicious 2/3 course meal for a sensible price and that is exactly what we got. We sat in the conservatory which was beautiful, a huge grape vine strung with fairy lights stretched over the ceiling, looking out onto a pretty garden. The meal was of a high culinary standard with an excuisite attention to detail. We had the fish soup, outstanding and goats cheese salad to start, both well worth it. So, after many many recommendations we arranged a meal here with friends who had visited a couple of times before. Requested a table in the conservatory which has just been rebuilt, they had a table ready in the main restaurant, but did move it for us, as there was only two other tables in use. I made the mistake of viewing the sample menu on their website before going, their actual menu is nothing like it. Few choices and nothing outstanding on show.
