perfect afternoon with family and amazing beer (divine). . did not try to eat because the place was fully booked.

Had an excellent lunch, good sized portions well presented, price was very good the two ladies behind the jump where a credit to the pub. Parking is on the road so get there early, near the top of my pubs to return to list

This is a very cozy pub. We enjoyed lunch there after a walk in Ashdown Forest. The fish cakes were a bit dense and lacked flavor, which is why I rated it 4 stars. However, the red mullet was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Voir le carte

Thank you for an unforgettable lunch! The food was excellent, the service was amazing, and everything was absolutely delicious. I give it a full 5 stars and highly recommend it. The staff should be very proud of themselves; they were wonderful!

Parking: The parking at the pub is quite limited, which means you'll likely have to park on the road nearby. During busy times, you might need to walk a short distance from your vehicle. The roads are narrow, so larger vehicles could face some challenges. Price per person: £20–30 Food rating: 4/5

Didn't eat this time, but the cask ale was outstandingly good. Starting with a sparkling glass, perfect temperature and conditioning and almost uniquely this side of lockdown, serving a full pint measure in the glass. Add atmosphere and friendly locals. Great location....lots of people enjoying the Sunday sunshine.....we arrived at 1pm with no booking. No food available so book up!! Lovely place but they were totally overwhelmed by the number of customers. Parking: Parking on country lanes with driveways to avoid a bit tricky! After following up again about the fries, the bar manager completely ignored us, still without offering any apology. When we asked for the bill, there was once again no acknowledgment of our concerns. We indicated that we wouldn't be paying for the fries, and yet again, there was no apology. The bill arrived without a service charge, which we wouldn't have paid anyway; however, in our honesty, we didn't double-check the contactless payment, and unfortunately, the staff had added a service charge without us noticing—something we definitely wouldn't have agreed to. This was a lesson for us to be more vigilant in the future, and we hope others will take note. It's a shame because the food was... Voir le carte
