"I visited Poms last Sunday and ordered a simple club sandwich, but when it arrived, it turned into a delightful and hearty meal. There was a generous portion, especially for the price. My mother-in-law had a pastrami and cranberry bagel, which was a fantastic pairing with her surf and turf. My 2-year-old daughter had a side of chips, which were served at a perfect temperature and brought to our table upon request to keep her entertained. After our meal, we ordered hot drinks and then some dessert. The chef kindly asked my daughter which ice cream flavor she preferred and even made her a sundae, which made her so happy. Happy child equals happy mom! The atmosphere was wonderful, family-friendly, and the customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this place every week!"

"We went to this restaurant on New Year's Eve for their Gala Dinner. The hotel is beautiful and feels like a step back in time. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The 7-course menu was amazing. The other guests at the dinner were much older than us, so we decided to go home and dance instead since not many people were dancing. We're not sure what the atmosphere is like on a regular Sunday dinner, but we would definitely consider going back."

"Came here for lunch with a friend I hadn 't seen in 30+ years. Small wait for a table, but shown to a table by a gentleman and given menus. He failed to explain that you have to place an order at the bar, although asked if we had any allergies, so we talked for a bit expecting waiter service. We both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and chips this was £9.50 plus £2.75 for fries. The good came out reasonably quickly. The Philly was supposed to be brisket with onions peppers and cheese. Not much meat in it and oddly it had red kidney beans in it. Whilst not allergic, I 'm not keen and noticed that the "brisket chili was also on the menu. All I can think is they must use the same mix for everything. To me it was poor value at £13 for a sandwich and fries. "Popped in on a Saturday night with my son just to have a swift drink. Walked into the bar which was very quiet when a waitress came up to us and said have we booked. Explained we were just after a drink and was told...we had to wait outside. That wasn’t an issue but the waitress had a very condescending attitude towards us. We waited outside where there was only another group of lads finishing off their drinks. Waited for minutes and nobody came to attend to us, even though people came out to clear glasses. We left. I had a meal planned with a group of friends later that week and cancelled. Appalling attitude and service."

"We came here after reading amazing reviews and people telling us it was amazing! When we came in we were seated straight away! Perfect. We ordered drinks that came and were completely wrong. I ordered a fruit cider and and white zinfandel and a white wine spritzer and a child’s pop! We then ordered food and it took an hour and a half to come out three other tables that we could see ordered after us and got served before us but we weren’t that bothered about this because the weather was nice and we were happy to sit outside in the sunshine and drink away. When the food finally came out it arrived without the sauces we ordered. Which was fine but when you have to wait over half an hour for the sauces as well as the wait for the food it really was a let down! There had so much potential to be the most amazing country pub! Maybe today was a bad day but we’re now sitting on the que for kfc so that my husband can eat and it bothered me!"
