"I visited Poms last Sunday and ordered a simple club sandwich, but when it arrived, it turned into a delightful and hearty meal. There was a generous portion, especially for the price. My mother-in-law had a pastrami and cranberry bagel, which was a fantastic pairing with her surf and turf. My 2-year-old daughter had a side of chips, which were served at a perfect temperature and brought to our table upon request to keep her entertained. After our meal, we ordered hot drinks and then some dessert. The chef kindly asked my daughter which ice cream flavor she preferred and even made her a sundae, which made her so happy. Happy child equals happy mom! The atmosphere was wonderful, family-friendly, and the customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this place every week!"

"Best home cooked food, possibly the best pie I've ever had in my life!! Tuesday night, 16 live acts, the detail and professional equipment Mike has put into this place is second to none. It's a pub with everything you could ask for from a pub! Live music, amazing home cooked reasonably priced food, covered smoking area complete with pool table, dart board, service with a smile, top line up of beer, cider and ale on draught. I couldn't fault it if I tried. Price per person: £10–20"

"Came here for lunch with a friend I hadn 't seen in 30+ years. Small wait for a table, but shown to a table by a gentleman and given menus. He failed to explain that you have to place an order at the bar, although asked if we had any allergies, so we talked for a bit expecting waiter service. We both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and chips this was £9.50 plus £2.75 for fries. The good came out reasonably quickly. The Philly was supposed to be brisket with onions peppers and cheese. Not much meat in it and oddly it had red kidney beans in it. Whilst not allergic, I 'm not keen and noticed that the "brisket chili was also on the menu. All I can think is they must use the same mix for everything. To me it was poor value at £13 for a sandwich and fries. It was very busy so it must be popular, but there are much better cafes with better value in Lichfield Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"The Plough offers some of the best pub food in the area at a reasonable price. The menu was full of tempting options like Char Sui Pork Cheeks and Beef Feather Blade, making it hard to choose. I ended up going with the Beef and was happy with my decision. The service was friendly and efficient, and there was a good selection of ales at the bar, including the local favorite Holden's Golden Glow. My only complaint is that the interior of the restaurant has been heavily modernized, giving it more of a contemporary restaurant vibe than a traditional pub feel. Overall, a great meal but lacking the traditional pub atmosphere I prefer."

"We booked our Christmas Day lunch, sounded ok with a champagne reception. We arrived and no one said anything to us, no warm Christmas greeting, no do have a glass of champagne. We sat at our table and after a while I had to ask if they served us our champagne or did I need to collect it. We could see the glasses with champagne they were all on a table. We were brought our drinks in wine glasses! I asked if we could all have the same in champagne flutes. Later our onion soup arrived with a piece of bread topped with cheese that had been melted on top. We asked to see the wine list and the lad brought it. My husband ordered a bottle of Montepulciano, the lad said ‘what?’ My husband pointed to it on the list! I asked if we could have some water for the table, ‘yes I will bring some, do you want glasses?’ I said it might help. Starter arrived,my husband had ordered the sea bream, it was hard in the middle. Then the pièce de résistance the main course. I had the turkey lots of it with a big dollop of stuffing on top with big roast half cooked parsnips, shrivelled carrots, roast potatoes I could hardly cut and a dollop of mashed potato covered in gravy. My husband ordered the salmon, sounds good came with the same as my turkey minus the gravy. Salmon was on a bed of what they called monkfish and prawns. I have emailed the pub, but sadly heard nothing back."
