"Lovely friendly pub with a homely, cosy feel. You could see it was a locals pub but we were made to feel very welcome and there was a lovely atmosphere. We didn't eat but the food looked nice and was reasonably priced. We played at the weekend there for a birthday party. Load in not very direct if you have a lot of heavy gear but set up and break down was easy and the sound was good Nice place, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit"

nice friendly pub. had a big family dinner there for a birthday party, eating was great, service with a smile and they went out of their way to make everything perfect. would it go back there anyway

We came into ‘The Dog’ for lunch… Mum and I had been possibly 2 years before, had a lovely lunch, this time we brought another couple of friends our lunch was wonderful. I would say to anyone who visits the village to call in the food is amazing

Visited The Dog Inn on Wednesday 30 July 2021 for an evening meal . We had phoned earlier to book a table and travelled across from visiting nearby Lichfield. The Dog is on the cross roads in Whittington with a car park to the rear of the pub. The place was busy with a lot of drop in customers eating outside in the garden. Inside was very quiet , cool and calm.
