"This evening I dropped by the New Calley. Being a bit peckish after a long hard day I asked the staff (Jess John I believe) what they would recommend. I was led to a newish addition to the menu, a kebab. When this arrived...it was no van in a layby swished into a pitta bread, but a colourful vertically hanging skewer laden with large chunks of chicken interspersed with sweet pepper red onion. This was all grilled with a spicy coating and served with a peppery salad, Cole slaw fries, washed down with a really refreshing pint of White Horse Best Bitter. To Jess, John and all the staff at the Pub a great big thank you and certainly one very happy and sated diner. I'll be back for more."

very nice local land pub, we went to Sunday midday and it was very good, large amount of meat and nice I would say that her big roast would be easy to feed two. warm and welcoming atmosphere and a really dog friendly pub.

The staff here could not be more helpful. Very friendly and working hard. When I asked if they had gluten-free beer, I had a freshly-drawn pint in my hand within minutes, from a barrel that the barman went and tapped in the cellar. Voir le carte

My family and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at the weekend at the New Calley Arms. The service was excellent and the quality of the food was first class. Very flexible in terms of letting my older children have a larger portion of chicken...nuggets and chips. Would highly recommend. Voir le carte

I had a meal meal booked for the late afternoon. The place was buzzing with families, it being Father's Day, and a birthday party. The front of house staff, ably led by Jess together with the chef provided an excellent low carb lunch to fit...with my current exacting dietary requirements. The staff along with the clientele all contributed and enjoyed the atmosphere as did I. Service Food Drinks I could ask for no more after a very long day in the countryside. I'll be back and recommend anyone else reading this to give it a go.

Well done to owners Barbara and Dave and not forgetting your chef and staff what absolutely amazing food and service you provide. For anybody who hasn’t visited this great little pub in Upper Wanborough, you won’t be disappointed. This was my first visit with...my family of and not my last. All of us loved the pub with its cosy fire and the ambiance which unlike most pubs, you can actually hear your conversations. A very special thank you to the very attentive lovely staff you have, they certainly know how to look after you. This pub just has to be visited. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

The crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of chew, and the simple yet flavorful toppings of fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil created a symphony of tastes. It was a classic done right, and a testament to the quality of ingredients used at Fireaway. The garlic and herb dip that I recieved alongside it paired beautifully with the crust, adding an extra layer of flavor that complemented the pizza perfectly. They also have other tempting dips, including a buttermilk ranch that I 'm eager to try next time. While I haven 't yet had the chance to try their other offerings, the quality of the pizza and the excellent service I experienced make me eager to return and explore the rest of the menu.
