"This afternoon we went from our campsite in Bingham Grange, Bridport to Hare Hounds Pub. It was a beautiful sunny day and a beautiful walk. We received a very warm welcome from Bob the landlord, and his good lady Jenny worked hard in the kitchen. We recommend the homemade freshly cooked pasties, absolutely delicious Both Bob and Jenny work very hard to go this beautiful pub, so please, come with and support their business. Great people, pub, food drinks....and don't forget to mention the stunning views of the beer garden. We will return. Thanks Bob Jenny to the Hare Hounds."

Beautiful local pub, had a very pleasant couple hours here on a quiet but thoroughly entertaining Monday evening after an hour long dog walk. Owner Bob Jenny could no longer have invited, will be back!

On a very hot sunny day we halted our weekly walk here. Nice big garden area attentive service even though rules relaxed. Didn't eat but menu had something for all. No hesitation having a return visit!

It was a chilly wet miserable day and we were looking for some good hot food for 4 adults and 3 children. We had to wait a while as we had not pre booked but good things are worth waiting for. The food was excellent and hot on hot plates. Definitely recommend

Accidentally found this Brilliant Village Pub last year. We were so Impressed that we tracked it down again. A Genuine Warm Welcome From Staff Locals,... No Who Ee ,.... Food is Brilliant, Location Views Lovely. And,... Big AND it 's Dog Friendly, (please control Doogles as there 's Chuckkies on site). Time it right,... you get free Beer Nibbles lol

This pub is a hidden gem. We are lucky enough to live close by and our campers frequently either go for delicious food and/or drinks. As do we of course from time to time!! Bob Jenny are fantastic hosts. A nice cosy fire is so welcoming during the winter days.There is also a beautiful large garden with far reaching views across the beautiful Dorset countryside. I highly recommend trying the Hare Hounds.

April 2021: Great view from her large garden. Well kept Palmers bitter. I had sausages, mash and onions, all very tasty. March 2022: I had a very delicate and tasty rag steak tonight along with a few pints of Palmer's copper. Bob is a friendly and affable host and my evening was the most beautiful. I would just like to point out that when my meal arrived, three onion rings, more chips and the steak no slice was missing.
