"The menu was not extensive but they did have daily specials. We ordered Both the smoked sardines and fried sardines to start. Both very delicious but small portions. We then had the pil pil prawns and the croquettes. The prawns were delicious but the croquettes were bland. I am not sure what was in them apart from mashed potatoes which was not well seasoned. Our final course was the meat balls Canarian potatoes and the aubergines . The aubergine dish was a super tasty but a bit too sweet. The meat balls and canarian potatoes were both disappointing. Not enough seasoning and the meatballs lacking in taste. We booked ahead and had good service but overall portions were very small and it was expensive. Some refinements are required to some of the dishes which were under seasoned. If I’m going to pay premium prices for food I expect each dish to be well seasoned and tasty."

"I would give this restaurant 5 stars if I could (can only give 5 for vegan-only places) because the doughnuts and coffee are incredible! We visited last month and returned again this morning. It was just as good as our previous visit, with delicious homemade food and the best coffee in town. The family-run business offers a vegan roast bap made with jackfruit, stuffing, gravy, and tasty applesauce, as well as vegan coffee options and freshly made vegan doughnuts. They also accommodate gluten-free options for customers. We recommended this place in the guest book at our accommodation, and the next family who stayed there described the doughnuts as "insanely delicious." They truly are the best! Make sure to arrive early to snag a doughnut before they sell out!"

"A very nice Italian restaurant in Monmouth Street Lyme Regis. The food was excellent and catered for my wife's Gluten intolerance with no problem. The dining room was exceptionally clean and the hygiene standard was brilliant. Very reasonable prices and a good selection of wines. My wife is now hooked on a new drink for her, Limoncello Sunrise, which was suggested by the Lady behind the bar. Well worth a visit"

"I had been recommended Swim by a colleague at work, but unfortunately, when we visited on a Tuesday evening in November, it did not meet our expectations in terms of atmosphere, service, or food. Everything was simply average. The Courgette Fritters I ordered as a starter were more like croquettes and lacked flavor, while my daughter's Calamari was also bland. For main courses, I enjoyed the Fish Pie, although it was missing prawns, and my daughter's Ribs were very dry. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant or recommend it to others."

"The owner of this establishment almost ran me over in the street today near my home whilst driving his car at an unacceptable speed. He reversed his car back to shout at me and then did a full loop of the town to come back and shout at me again 5 minutes later whilst I was chatting to a gentleman who had visited Lyme Regis to see the house that he was born in for what he said would be the last time. Someone I had never met before. We shared lovely conversation and hugs. The owner of LBK on his second run up my street swore at me, told me to look at his private number plate on his car (LBK whatever) and told me not to go to the restaurant again. Considering that I live in Lyme Regis and support his business all year, dining there most Sundays (even when the tourists have left for the winter) how dare he behave in such a manner. Not acceptable. I would strongly recommend that nobody frequents LBK if this is the way that one will be treated. I am beyond disgusted."
