the biggest fish and chips I ever had! beautiful crispy teig and perfectly cooked. good selection of pints and many seats in the open to enjoy the view of the rocks of st margaret. dog-friendly. great staff!

fantastic looking building on a stunning part of the coast. halfway on our walk and so glad we made it. really friendly people, good priced drinks, beautiful real ale and a wonderful surprise, they have me a free drink for vaterday, really a special feeling to my day, thank you, really appreciated

What an Amazing Day at St. Margaret’s Bay (Coast Guard). Beautiful scenes at the Dover Cliffs. Had a great time talking to Ben from Coast Guard really good food, great company and great drinks/pints. What a pub with a view, lovely scenery, loads on the menu plenty of seafood dishes to choose from plus steaks and other dishes I had the mixed seafood, squid ,anchovies, white bait, prawns plus salmon it was banging, card only so beware NO CASH staff are very friendly and welcoming on arrival , very clean and tidy, we will be back

My wife and daughter went here for dinner and had a great experience. The young waiter was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm. On cold and windy day a cup of hot chocolate is definitely something you will enjoy Fish and chips for dinner was delicious and portion was really big The staff also managed to accommodate us for an hour before the booking and moved the table so we could sit with our dog in a safe distance from other dogs. We went to the Coastguard Pub yesterday. We were welcomed in by the waiter. We had phoned ahead so our table was ready. We had our pug with us. They ensured she had water. The waiter was very friendly good banter. Food arrived quickly. A lovely fire was going so it was lovely and warm. The food was delicious and plenty. Definitely worth a trip for the view across the sea to France and the welcoming atmosphere. Food: 5

I have returned all the way from Somerset to dine at the Coast Guard as usual my mobile phone thinks it's in France we were in Folkestone and they seem to shut down completely for the winter months, one of the reasons l couldn't live in a seaside town, so we got out of Dodge straight to the Coast Guard reliable service the Bigger Fish and chips you have ever seen! The service was spot on from the moment we arrived. Very dog friendly and very accommodating.

Date night with the wife. Food was exceptional, recommend the brie starter. The little mini loafs of bread was a cute touch. We decided after seeing the sea food share plater to have that between us as a main. The food was amazing, the taste was incredible. The rub...... It's so not worth the money. There was enough on the plater for one as a main. Very expensive for what you get. Which is a massive shame. As with most things, what you see online is not what you get. The big mac effect. If you don't mind paying a lot of money for not a lot, it's very tasty. We had beautiful sea views due to sitting upstairs. As much as downstairs looks lovely inside, upstairs gives you the sea view.
