Travellers Rest - Carte

Lovely little place to eat and drink. Mike served us and he was so polite and professional. Really do recommend it and the food.

We came here for steak night and wow the quality of the food was amazing. It was our anniversary and they went above and beyond by leaving us a Toblerone bar with “happy anniversary” on it. I can not fault this place at all. Amazing.

excellent eating though we found the portions to be quite large. if they have a good appetit, this would be great if there could not be much waste. beautiful pub with comfortable environment and friendly and efficient service would definitely visit again.

absolutely fabulous eating. service was also amazing. the manager couldn't help us. stay on the local glamping site with a short walk to the pub. I would definitely drive from my home in liverpool, only for one of those wonderful meals. we went on a Saturday night and then we loved it so much that we booked for Sunday roasts. Voir le carte

visited with the family on a Saturday evening. Despite thinking the timing would be a part, the service was brilliant. I ordered speck and black pudding stack as a change made me really appreciate black pudding as it was great. Despite eating, the top note is, the attention and friendliness of the staff remains to me. the guinness came with a shamrock. result.

Cannot write a proper review because after calling in to the travellers rest today about 1pm for some lunch, we found the place closed after passing a number of times this year when ther appeared to be plenty of custom mid afternoon. We did not notice any notice of the situation after taking the trouble to travel there. Not very impressed with the lack of communication for the benefit of passing trade. We have decided not to try anymore times just to be met with this situation again.

Been 33 Years since I have been in this pub. Worked there full time in my younger years when John Bond was the landlord. Its changed a lot since i was there. I have taken 1 star off due to the quality of the meat, Home made roast they said and everything was great apart from the meat being sliced meat and when your paying over the odds £16.99) for a roast dinner you would expect real meat. £5.40 for a Pint : as well. Staff very friendly. They need to address a few things as it could be a booming pub for meals. Voir le carte
