"I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday after a wonderful walk in the area. Despite being quite busy, we were seated within minutes and our drink orders were taken promptly. Soon after, we placed our food orders. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the steak pie, finishing every last bite. I opted for the burger, which was delicious, but I couldn't finish it as it was quite large. I suggested that a smaller burger might be more suitable for those with smaller appetites. We definitely plan on returning again as there are plenty of options on the menu to try. Thank you for a great experience!"

This is a really nice restaurant with a view of Rochdale. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and there is a great selection of food to choose from. The dishes are always tasty and there is no long wait for your order.

Met up here for lunch after my mums funeral. They opened up early to let us in for coffee. Staff were really nice friendly and welcoming. The food was spot on and lots of choice. We all had different things and everyone enjoyed it. Coffee really good and lots of other drinks to choose from. Definitely a good place to go. Highly recommended

Sundays are right! a walk through the reservoir with the dogs then dinner in the white house! warm, welcoming, child-friendly and particularly good eating. £58 for 2 adult (main and dessert), a child's meal and 2 round drinks! absolute smashing value for probably the best pub food for hundred miles. highly recommend to recommend any of the lamb dishes, although their special board is very rarely disappointed!

Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with great food and excellent service from friendly staff. They offer a wide variety of food and drinks on their menu. The daily specials caught my eye, and I decided to try the crab Thermidor, which was a fantastic choice. The portion sizes are quite large, so be prepared if you're not from Lancashire or Yorkshire. However, the hearty dishes are perfect for fueling up before a walk. The cool wind at the summit made me appreciate the heavy meal even more, and I finished off with a delicious fruit pie topped with custard or ice cream.
