The Six Bells - Carte

The Sunday lunch was excellent, so was the service. Wifi was broken which was a pity (first world problems).

We went for a Sunday roast and we absolutely loved it. Great food, great selection of drinks, great atmosphere. Our favourite in the area!

The restroom only had a toilet roll for drying your hands, which was not satisfactory. The food was rated a 3, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 3. Voir le carte

We went out for dinner with friends while walking along the Thames Path. The bar staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The food and beer were excellent. Thank you very much.

Hadn’t booked a table but they fitted us in. I had chicken Kiev and my husband had meat pie. Both dinners were delicious. Didn’t have time for a pudding as the table was booked for the next sitting.

I recently had an amazing dinner at the Six Bells with my family and friends, totaling ten of us. We all enjoyed a delicious roast dinner with plenty of vegetables and gravy. The staff, Gary, Sam, and Will, were very attentive and made us feel welcome in the friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning. This restaurant was a great discovery! It is a charming traditional pub located in a beautiful village, offering delicious home-cooked meals. The friendly hosts made us feel very welcome, even though we arrived late due to taxi delays. They even allowed us to wait for our return taxi after everyone else had left. If only we lived closer, we would definitely come back regularly. The price per person is £30-40 and the food gets a 5-star rating.

Another very enjoyable family Sunday lunch at this cosy, traditional pub with bags of character and a prime location by the village green. Food and service were top notch, even though the pub was busy and they were fully booked. The friendly landlord and landlady have done a great job since taking over last year and the chef is excellent. Booking is recommended but there are spacious garden areas front and back for the summer months. A must visit!

We visited this pub specifically for its location and connections to the television show Midsomer Murders. It is a charming pub in a fantastic location. The young staff who served us were delightful. Two members of our group enjoyed a delicious roast chicken lunch. However, my wife ordered what was listed on the menu as a Vegetarian Tartlet. What was brought to our table was a large Yorkshire pudding, a parsnip, and a couple of roast potatoes. Believing there may have been a mistake and the tartlet was hidden beneath the Yorkshire pudding, we lifted it to find six small, dried-up button mushrooms.
