The Pier House - Menu

Visited yesterday 10 August got there about 17.30 .was a wedding going on fantastic music.had the prawn cocktail for something to eat really tasty.the atmosphere there was fantastic the staff work really hard .the views are fantastic

A cracking place to eat with the 3 essentials making it so. Firstly if you can get a window table the views are stunning, secondly the food is high quality, plentiful and very tasty. Finally all the staff are very happy and seem to enjoy what they do which can be a rarity nowadays. Give it a go if you are in the area. We went out of holiday time but would imagine parking could be a problem at the height of the season.

We Sat outside Friday in the sun on the terrace and had a couple of filled baguettes, was delicious. Came back Saturday and had fish n chips and it was up there with the best we have ever had anywhere. Chips delicious and fish was huge and very meaty and moist and batter was perfect, not soaked in fat but light weight and crispy. This place has always been great and as we haven’t been for a while it didn’t disappoint.

Visited for Mother’s Day, booked a couple of weeks ago for lunch and arrived to be seated in probably the best table in our opinion, service was great, attentive but not rushed despite being busy. All had the carvery and it was what you expect from a carvery, plenty of options and a good choice, all very nicely cooked. Had desserts and they were very well presented and good quality. Will definitely be back when in the area again.

Rang up and booked a table for eight and explained it was for a birthday party. Got there to be told they did not have a record of the booking. Very annoying. Staff were good though and soon fitted us in. Very big portions and most meals were delicious apart from one burnt beef burger. Tomahawk pork chop was really only a French trimmed chop but was well cooked. All together a good venue same about the booking upset at the beginning.

Lovely sea views and ambience! Food was delicious. My partner has a garlic and onion allergy and the staff could not have been more accommodating of this. My partner did order skin less fries but did, unfortunately, come with skin on but this was a minor hiccup in the overall great experience. Lovely venue. Lovely staff. Nice food would come again. Would like to give a personal thanks to Andy who went out of his way to accommodate my partners allergies.

First visit to Braddicks holiday park. Not sure what to expect but we ate in the Pier House on our first night. It was excellent! Great menu, great food and service. Pleasant friendly staff on the bar which continued into the restaurant. Our plan was to eat out at several different places but we ate at the Pier house on 3 occasions during our 7 night stay. We would have no hesitation staying at the park again especially as we now know how good the restaurant is. We own a restaurant and my Husband is the Chef so we know a good restaurant when we find one. Try the Fish and chips you wont be disappointed.

We came here for our 24th wedding anniversary and we were disappointed. We booked ages ago and asked for a window seat as it was a special occasion and was told they'd try their best. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we arrived and window tables were empty and available. We explained it was a special occasion and the waitress wanted to help but said she'd have to clear it with the manager. The manager was extremely rude and shouted no. Staff like this will really impact on the reputation of this place and I'd suggest this manager needs some customer service training asap. They had at least another 2 tables with just 2 people on at the window and they arrived around the same time. I hate...

So many positives about this place, amazing views, lovely decor and the food is absolutely fantastic. We came twice throughout our holiday as the food was cooking beautifully. The seafood chowder was simply the best I have tasted anywhere and the rest of my party could not praise their meal enough. Now for the big and glaring negative….the service. The first night we came it was reasonably ok, a lovely young lad was really attentive and paid attention to all the guests. The second visit was absolutely shocking and it involved a manager.
