"I thought I'd call my local rib and co in utrecht, lowlands due to an extremely delayed order. I was confused when the personal picked up and not Dutch spoke, but had a friendly English accent. even if they were clearly engaged with an idiot, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I have now read the reviews of this restaurant and am jealous, as I consume inferior ripening from the lowlands. if I ever find myself in the beautiful city of halisham, I will make sure that this beautiful facility with its friendly staff to visit. I apologize for the waste of the precious time and look forward to a visit to a day."

"I have been dining many times at The Royal Indian Restaurant in Hailsham since 2021 I want to congratulate the owner, Viv Samuel his brilliant staff team for their superb curry house. I can truly say that I've never been dissapointed by The Royal, it's an exceptional restaurant that I've recommended to many friends. I've hosted a Christmas Party for over 20 guests there took over the restaurant for my birthday last year. Both occasions were excellent, my guests had a really great time I have lovely memories of both events. Viv is always on hand to give you a great welcome has that ability to make every guest feel valued special. The restaurant is most attractively laid out with a warm ambience spotlessly clean, creating a really lovely dining experience. The menu has been thoughtfully created incorporating some unusual recipes from his family in Southern India. Viv his staff team are knowlegeable about their cuisine dishes can be altered to suit their guests individual tastes. The Royal also offers an excellent range of wines some lovely cocktails liqueur coffees. If you have spare room after your main courses, Viv also has some delicious puddings. I would be very surprised if you did not enjoy your dining experience at The Royal. Many of Viv's guests come to his restaurant on a regular basis become old friends. "We had the pleasure of dining at Callenders Restaurant on a Wednesday evening, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was perfect. Each dish was fresh, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. And the chips were amazing! The best I've had in any restaurant. It's clear that quality ingredients and expert preparation are a priority here and I haven't come across another restaurant locally that matches the quality that is served here. We were particularly impressed with how accommodating the restaurant was for our 11-month-old son. They provided a high chair and even prepared a mini portion of fries and some ice cream specifically for him under good will. This thoughtful gesture made our evening even more special. From start to finish, everything was perfect. We left very happy and will absolutely be returning. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening; I will be recommending to everyone I know!"

"This is a place where I would say customers ' views vary widely in some aspects. We can all agree that the service staff are amazingly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant, but younger people may feel they 're visiting an older relatives ' professional home, mostly due to the largely indifferent clientele. Food was very complicated in my opinion to score as most of the dishes, especially the deserts, have been a completely vast pleasure to our eyes. I wish my starter was my desert as I personally felt that was my favourite part of the meal. Others felt they preferred their main, but then there was a discussion between normal paying customers and older, which pay less so supposedly receive less, but they didn 't agree. Your revised chips/ fries were lived by each of us that had them! Keep them skinnier than fat hahaha Parking: This is a very busy place, especially amongst the older ladies and gents due to cheaper prices. It appears this is a meeting point, so each eating table is likely to have more than 1 or 2 car spaces. The car park is large-ish but not inconclusive. Wheelchair accessibility: Bearing in mind, this pub and restaurant have a menu specifically for older people. This age group being the main clientele, and then accessibility is not an issue."

"Eaten here twice in the last 10 days. Great service, prompt and non obtrusive plus the staff are really smiley! Food is delicious, well presented and of a good quality Plus their coffee is excellent. Lovely crockery and tableware makes this feel more than your average cafe. Clearly a very popular place, as on both occasions it was packed with customers. This is my new favourite Hailsham breakfast, brunch or lunch venue!"
