"This is a bit more than a gastroput to be fair.....I 've eaten here a few times and the lunch we had yesterday was a culinary feast! Pizza is always above par, the venison burger was amazing even the 'chips ' were really done a dis-service by calling them chipsl! Desert of dark chocolate with peanut and Morello cherries was really sublime... well worth the drive out of our way just to eat here!! Thank you! A hidden gem in the middle of Hillsborough, the type of old fashioned store you could spend all day in. From fresh coffee to pastries, alcohol and cheeses, seafood chowder and hampers...not the first visit wont be the last.

The dining experience was lovely, with an amazing atmosphere and excellent staff. I did need to request fresh cutlery when the used dishes were cleared away and new food was served, but the staff was always quick and professional. It's just a minor detail, likely due to adjustments after COVID. Overall, it was worthwhile to make the hour-long drive for my birthday meal.
