I normally am very happy to take a waiters recommendation but think I may have done better on my own, Sent here by my hotel.

The food was tasty and authentic. Dessert was phenomenal! The service was good, and accommodating to English and COVID precautions.

If you're looking for good traditional Bavarian food (duck, potato dumplings, braised cabbage, etc) this is a good option. Basic tables but friendly staff and reasonable prices Voir le carte

A very nice restaurant it was definitely German and the food and service were excellent especially like the spritsail. The town Rothenberg is quite a unique place in this restaurant fits in perfectly

directly at the marketplace you will find this charming guest house/restaurant. the rooms are breathed, but the beds are a little hard and the bathroom small. but it's an old building. the personal is friendly and efficient. the restaurant is located in the backyard and serves delicious traditional German cuisine. open for lunch and dinner. for dinners are recommended. restaurant closed on Tuesday. This restaurant was always packed and we now understand why. The wait wasn’t more than minutes. The evenings we ordered the Oma’s Winter soup and delicious bread which was enough for a late evening meal. The other night we ordered flavorful Gulasch and...pork schnitzel. A side salad and bread came with the meal. It is a laid back time so plan to relax. If you’re in a hurry, you may want to consider finding another restaurant. You’d be missing out on some fabulous dishes though.

I did not stay at this hotel, however chose to have dinner here one evening. They had a large group celebration coming a bit later but the service was good and we weren't in any hurry. I ordered the pork medallions in pepper sauce which...were lovely except of the medallions were not fully cooked! One was pretty raw in the center. When I pointed this out to the server at the end of the meal, she was alarmed and apologized. I had expected a bit of compensation on the bill since half of the food was not edible, however, nothing was offered! well, we thought this was a good place for dinner, based on the reviews we had read on tripadvisor. we were very disappointed. the wine was good and saved the evening. we arrived for the first sitting and knew that we had until we thought we had more than enough time to dinner. the first contact with waitstaff was positiw. he was helpful in answering questions and his wein recommendation was on site, but the food was best little more fun. the pumpkin soup was watery with pumpkin pieces and for the net (which came a long time), we were less than impressed.
