"We have visited several times in the past and typically enjoy Sunday lunch here when visiting family in Somerset. On this occasion, we were a party of eleven, including small children and elderly grandparents, so our hosts' decision to allocate us the entire event space was both convenient for us and no doubt beneficial to their other Sunday lunch customers who probably didn't want to endure a noisy family reunion! Although not required, we chose to order in advance, and everything came to the table precisely as requested. As has been the case on all previous visits, the food was excellent, with all meals served virtually simultaneously, fresh and hot. Special dietary needs, including delicious vegan and allergen-free options, were available. Our servers were very polite, attentive and responsive, never rushing us and allowing us to relax and enjoy family time together. The event space included free access to the bowling alley which was a lot of fun and we left entirely satisfied after an almost four hour visit. We will definitely be visiting again on our next visit and would highly recommend this lovely place."

"Popped by, stopped off Saturday night in our camper van. We were made to feel very welcome, Pickles the Frenchie is lovely, our Schichon took a while to warm to her, but she is lovey. I had the Faggots, my wife has the dirty fries, both were a decent, hearty meal, well cooked, proper wholesome pub food. We only had a couple of drinks as we'd had a long week were asleep by 8:30pm! Will return. Food: 5"

"I recently visited this charming country pub for a wonderful carvery on Sunday. Everything was absolutely perfect, especially the delicious meat. The bar was well stocked with a variety of options. The staff were all friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this pub for both drinks and food. Pubs like this one truly deserve our support as they are valuable assets to their communities."

"I ordered a last minute takeaway roast from this restaurant. I had called them during the Covid pandemic and decided to try it out. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed this time. The gravy spilled in my bag, the vegetables were cold despite being placed in a heat bag, and the meat was just okay. I paid £63 for 6 dinners, but I don't think I will be ordering from here again. The staff were nice and the restaurant looked lovely, but I didn't enjoy the meal. I suggest using foil trays to keep the food hotter and using better containers for the vegetables. The prices for takeaway should also be cheaper considering the quality. My kids didn't enjoy it either, they said they prefer my roasts."

"Been wanting to try this ‘alternative’ pub for a while. Large car park with plenty of space, no steps or slopes into the bar. Access for buggies, wheelchairs etc should be okay, my mother walks with the aid of a frame and has no issues. Inside the decor is certainly alternative but in a great way, loved it! Plenty to look at, keep you entertained and talk about as you wait for your food or just pass the time. Staff were friendly and welcoming, there was just one guy running the bar, taking food orders and bringing food out; I thought he needed a helper or coworker really. There is a decent bar area with seating or there is more ‘restaurant’ style seating further back beyond the bar. We chose to sit in the bar area seating which is a mixture of booth and chairs. Dogs are allowed in which is great, there is free Wi-Fi which is good as my mobile signal was very poor. The menu is standard pub food, quite a bit of choice and plenty of options for gluten free. I chose to have the fillet steak cooked medium, I had a starter of garlic bread but chose for it all to come out together. Mother had beef brisket loaded fries, the portion was massive so I had to help her finish it. The steak was perfectly cooked, I chose to have the peppercorn sauce; this was a bit watery and bland. The steak comes with chunky chips, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings. For dessert I had the nutty apple crumble with ice cream, it was okay. Overall this is a great venue with acceptable food, friendly staff and awesome decor that will keep you talking and looking all night. Based on this experience I would visit again."
