"We did not know about this place prior to going here. Google reviews helped us to decide to try their menu del dia and we are delighted we did. The menu del dia is in the downstairs restaurant. We were trying to gain entry into the upstair restaurant. The staff are very friendly especially the guy who spoke some English. He even gave us a tester dish as we were unsure what it was. A basket of fresh crispy bread, a small bottle of white fuzzy drink, a bottle of red and a bottle of white were put on the table while we looked at the menu. First course. We had a soup and 3 x tortillas. All dishes were lovely. A few comments that the tortilla could have been a few degrees warmer. Second course. We had fish with boiled potatoes, pork cheek with chips and 2 x lasagnas. We all loved our dishes. Desert. We had 2 x cheese cake and 2 x pineapple with cream. Again we all loved the dishes but particularly the cheese cake. We were all full and happy and all for €10 each. A bargain and worth the 5 stars."

"Me voy flotando. Después de hacer el camino, con todo el cansancio qué te deja, llegar a Novo Soto es un mimo al alma. Te muestra el poder de lo simple, un churrasco con patatas, vino de la casa y un flan de huevo de toda la vida. Está tan bien hecho y con un precio tan amigable con el nivel de un restaurante top, qué eso emociona. Parada infaltable de Pontevedra"

"This is a newish place in Pontevedra. It 's not in the centre but you will have to pass near it if you 're on one of the caminos de Santiago which go through this city. It 's modern and bright and probably good for a local family meal. But there are places to eat in Pontevedra which have much less atmosphere and are less, say, brash. There was nothing either wrong or special about the place and it 's good that they serve churrasquería (grilled meats). The service we had was not great but this might have been because of 'previous ' between the waiter and one of our party. I won 't be rushing back but wouldn 't decline to eat there again. Especially the churrasco."
