Young chap behind the bar was attentive and friendly. Food came on time. Chicken shawarma was decent if a little dry. Decent beer range on tap. Would eat here again.

We found this pub on our visit to Ilfracombe last week. What a gem, food was fresh, tasty and hot. Service very friendly and all in all brilliant relaxing atmosphere. We definitely will be back again, when we go back to Ilfracombe.

A lovely little thatched roof pub/restaurant with lots of history. Called in here for dinner whilst on a mini break in Ilfracombe. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and food delicious. We had 2 courses and were too full for a pudding Plenty of free parking too Voir le carte

I hate to write a bad review, but we have just waited nearly 90 mins for food based on a 30 min perceived wait. No apology or explanation and told that it’s down to management to respond to our feedback. However, the management did not wish to discuss our grievances. So we left deeply unhappy.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch at this lovely pub today. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The roast dinner was outstanding, with perfect roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, and plenty of gravy. It's rare to find such a delicious meal! We are so happy we discovered this place and will definitely be returning on our next visit.

What an amazing Sunday Lunch! Plentiful braised beef that literally melted in your mouth. Accompanied by yorkshire pudding. Cauliflower cheese, roast carrots and parsnips, broccoli, sublime roast potatoes and the tastiest gravy. A real treat. Although the pub is small inside it has a large outdoor space , weather permitting. The staff were warm and welcoming. A lovely experience . Would advise booking ahead for Sunday lunch. My experience at this restaurant on November 5th was wonderful. The Sunday roast was fantastic, with perfectly sized portions and superb beef. I had informed them in advance of my disability, and they accommodated me by seating me near the door. The staff was attentive and friendly. While there was no disabled toilet, the regular ones were easily accessible and I was able to use the outside toilet without any issues. I highly recommend this lovely pub for a fantastic dining experience.

I called late on a Saturday evening after being disappointed by another restaurant. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly caring and polite. When we arrived a few minutes later, we were greeted by a kind gentleman who was very understanding of my son's autism and the challenges he faces with food. The two female servers were amazing with all ten of us. The food was delicious and surprisingly quick to arrive, considering there was only one chef working. We waited less than half an hour from order to arrival, which is faster than in some chain restaurants I've been to. Everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable, and we wish we lived closer so we could return in a heartbeat.

Popped in on the off chance of a table for Sunday lunch and friendly staff advised they could accommodate us later in the day. Lovely cosy pop and very traditional with good selection of drinks available. We decided to eat outside as weather was good and opted for roast chicken and roast pork dinners. Both served piping hot and looked and smelt amazing. Great choice of roasted veg (parsnips and carrot) with lots of crispy roast potoroos and home made Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Both dinners were absolutely delicious. Bar staff, landlord and waiting staff were all very friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely place just outside of town but easily accessible with plenty of indoor and outdoor... Voir le carte
