Treated to a superb birthday lunch by my friend. Monkfish tails and chips were amazing- and I am not a fish enthusiast. Excellent.

Fabulous village pub/restaurant in Noss Mayo. Lovely seating area at the front with excellent views of the River Yealm. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. Everything you could ask for

This pub is amazing and located in a fantastic spot. The bartenders are wonderful, especially the gentleman who took care of us with such attention and friendliness. His customer service was impeccable and we couldn't find a fault. I would definitely recommend this place. Voir le carte

We sat in their outside covered and heated area, very well organised with blankets. The food was amazing, the service was excellent they were very attentive all very accommodating. We arrived a bit earlier than our table was booked but they happily served us earlier. Fabulous place.

Dolmades starter was exquisite Lovely homemade flat bread and hummus too. Baked Hake was a taste sensation. Beautifully fresh and flakey. Crab linguine had just the right amount of warmth. Puddings were very generous servings. Service was friendly and polite and we were not rushed at all. Fantastic view over the river from the cosy heated front deck area.

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch on our way back to Newton Ferrers. The service and food were both excellent. They have a covered seating area with a view overlooking the creek, which was perfect for enjoying the view on a cloudy afternoon. It's best to book in advance as they are very popular, and for good reason! Thanks to the lovely server and compliments to the chef. I would like to give this pub an additional star for their exceptional service! My family visited twice in the past two weeks; the lunch was delicious (especially the great chips and tasty veggie kofta), and we enjoyed the laid-back ambiance. The staff went out of their way to cater to our son's special needs, remembering his preferences on our second visit. They also provided an unexpected gesture of kindness, so subtle that we didn't even notice it until later on. We will definitely return in the future.

What a lovely Pub this is! We got a friendly, warm welcome from the Bar staff as well as the restaurant staff. When my husband mentioned my serious food allergy, the Chef came out to discuss it and reassure us. What more could you ask for? The food is really tasty we ate lunch and dinner there). Wow, what can I say about the Hake the best fish dish I’ve had in a long while! Sitting in their covered terrace area, looking down the river, with a glass of something cold is an experience I shall remember in a long while. Ps make sure you book, they get busy.

it'sIgetting harder to find good quality food with good service and a reasonable price so this place is a real find. First it has a great location right on a small inlet of the river with the sunset on the water ahead and views of the village and hilltops all around. The outdoor area is well heated and sheltered. Next the service very helpful staff who know their menu. Although the place was clearly very busy there was no feeling of being rushed to vacate the table and no long waits for food. Finally the menu not the largest selection, but the food offered was the best we've had in ages. The crab linguine and Thai chicken curry are highly recommended. And the desserts wow!
