"I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the positive reviews I had heard, but I don't think I will be returning unless there are major changes in the service. The first waiter seemed in a rush, trying to take our food order before even asking about drinks. It was a bit strange considering the restaurant was not busy. When the starters arrived, there was confusion among the staff about which table they were for. The main courses were brought out while we were still eating our starters, and the server didn't even know what dish he was holding. The lack of attention to detail and communication was disappointing. The food was good, but the service really let it down. Staff were not very attentive or polite, as we were not even acknowledged when we left."

"Incredible value for money and the food was very tasty too. Not the most appealing to look at from the outside but the inside is very cosy and nicely decorated. Polite waiting staff and very prompt service. Visit their website for special offers we were torn between 3 course lunch for £9.95 and a special Groupon offer available at the time, but either way you won't be disappointed. Was very quiet during the day and the lunch menu time, could have done with a bit of atmosphere but made for very comfortable dining. Will definitely return when in Greenock again!"

"Food was lovely, then a gentleman enters to sit with presumably his son, some 3 footsteps from the door and is interrogated about wearing a mask by one staff member in his face and another shouting from the kitchen. Excruciating. A quiet, 'hi sir, are you exempt from wearing a mask? ' would have been appropriate instead of causing the old boy to have a red face in front of many customers. The food is lovely but the service has steadily declined, with an attitude of inconvenience about having to serve people, in particular from the female server of short stature. So glad was only in to spend a Christmas present voucher, we will never return to the cottage get out of the service industry if you can 't handle the constant inconvenience of customers."

"Hmm it seemed like there was a fine layer of grease over the table. The well used menus felt really dirty and filmy, tables probably given a cursory wipe with a damp cloth; but not clean. Shockingly they put of the poppadoms and sauces, spiced onions etc on the tables before customer arrive. I was there for an our and witnessed servers flies landing on these at the vacant tables next to me which made me feel queasy as I had just consumed some from our table believing them to be fresh. Bulk Food wise we went for the buffet. Not one veggi option was available (the waiter personally escorted me to the buffet to show me that all that was available was chicken like I was a bit thick. But I was really only trying to ask if I could order an alternative) he said I could pick two from the menu. The aubergine dish I selected was, predictability, unavailable. So it was, cheap as chips , cauliflower and potatoes or potatoes and cauliflower. The potatoes were very undercooked and I'm talking raw, not al. Denti. The all you can eat buffet had a limited starter too, veggi option was three pieces of veggi pakora and two slices or battered potato. Meat option was twice the portion size. Did not ask if I wanted more. For £15 a head I would not go back. Massively over priced for bland, undercooked food. Service wasn't the best either."
