Really nice time meal at The Squirrel. Ladies working there are so warm, friendly and accommodating. Food was really nice. Good quality and freshly prepared. Great portion sizes. A beautiful pub in the country. I would definitely recommend.

Tried several times before to book Sunday lunch at the Squirrel but it was always busy. Finally managed to book a table, and even though we arrived early due to the inclement weather our table was ready. We all thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday roasts, sampling 3 of those on offer. If I could suggest the roast potatoes spend a little longer roasting that would be my only criticism. Voir le carte

Double birthday celebration lunch at the Squirrel last Saturday. Absolutely fantastic. Jo and her team made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well. We had the new festive menu which was brilliant. Stand out choices were the poached pear and goats cheese starter, the turkey lunch the stuffing sausage roll was a winner) and the ‘proper’ sticky toffee pudding. But the whole menu was delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

From the moment we walked into the pub it felt very inviting. Jo, the manager, was the perfect hostess, checking in and even though it was busy the service was excellent! The ambiance was warm and cosy too, with a lovely fire going on a cold day and our Sunday roast was to die for! Even our Labrador was made welcome with lots of treats and fuss. So much so that when we went for a walk in the nearby Penn Woods we were very tempted to go back and sit with another glass of something by the fire!! We shall definitely be making a return to this little gem :

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were going to have a lovely evening. Under new management, this pub offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Cosy chairs by the log fire, as well other comfy areas, make for an ideal place for food and drinks. The food is delicious. The menu is relatively small, but this allows for high quality, home cooked food, which is what a village pub should be about. The restaurant is small but perfectly sized for an intimate dinner for two or a larger group. The service is excellent, with staff wanting to ensure everything is as it should be. Four-legged guests are also made welcome by the staff who treat all customers as friends. Voir le carte
