Best Sunday roast I’ve had in a very long time. Lovely location. Staff are really friendly and made you feel welcome.

Tucked away but worth a visit, great for small/medium kids to play and run around outside and great pizza to satisfy them.

This is an amazing country pub in a great location, with great food and hard working staff. Can't fault the place and hope to return there one day

Called in with my pal for an afternoon pint. Good choice of ales and an extremely warm welcome from a lovely bar maid who was happy to give us a taste before we chose our pint. Realistic pricing for a pint of ale and a pint of lemonade for the driver. Will call in again if I'm in the area and maybe sample the food menu. Voir le carte

Staying nearby, we decided to visit The Spotted Cow as we had read the reviews on here and are so glad we did! We sat outside in a large covered area. There was music playing which gave it a very chilled atmosphere. Everyone working there was very friendly and quick to spot if you needed a new drink/plates clearing away. We shared some garlic bread to start with which was delicious. This was followed by the sea bass and the halloumi burger both of which are highly recommended. We loved the place so much that we rebooked for the following night whilst there!

Overall just ok. Our visit was more highlighted by the horrendous weather but what did turn up to our garden table (in the pouring rain, so credit to them for bringing it out was a very average burger. We ordered cheese on it but it wasn't added so in the end the burger was a large patty, a big piece of tomato and some lettuce. The cornichons fell out but expect they were in there too. There was a nice spicy sauce with it but the whole thing was cold and overall not great... The kids pizzas looked great and were a good size (but cost £10! but the only option was margarita... No idea why they couldn't offer even some pepperoni. Wife's roast was just ok too. Cold but tasted ok.

The staff were happy to accommodate our large group consisting of people, outside and away from other diners. We were seated promptly and a waitress took our drinks order. We were also given menus. The drinks arrived and some of the glasses had bright red lipstick marks on them. Yuk. We politely asked for some replacements. At this point we were still deciding what food to order. When we were ready the conversations went something like: Us:”I’d like a Hawaiian pizza please”. Waitress: “oh no, there’s no pizza today because the pizza chef isn’t here”. Us: “oh okay, why didn’t this get mentioned minutes ago when you gave us the menu?” Waitress: shrugs. All the teenagers had to choose another o... Voir le carte
