Had lovely lunch with my wife at 1.45 the pub only had a few customers. Had a 3 course meal with huge portions and a couple of drinks. Excellent quality food and fast and friendly service. Will certainly revisit Peter Atkinson Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely pub, nothing is too much trouble and the staff made things so easy for me. Having both a wheat and a dairy intolerance eating out is usually a trial but not here. They took it all in their stride and I enjoyed the most delicious Sunday roast (complete with a dessert). Can't wait to visit again. Can't praise The Red Lion highly enough. Voir le carte

A large family meal spoilt by a very rude, dismissive and abrupt member of staff. This senior member of staff spoilt our celebration of a great grandmother's 90th birthday. We spent a lot of money but will never go again. This should have been a special occasion. However this lady was unwelcoming and made us feel like an inconvenience. I am sorry we chose to go there.

The location boasts many pubs pub restaurants I have visited many living locally . This rates as one of the best . Interior is nice retains some old school pub charm , many don’t . Service excellent , good selection of pub food all very tasty . All my guests happy . My one suggestion, needs a bigger car park given the land at the back occupied by a couple of tables extend back into that save a few bangs and scrapes . Hope that’s helpful.

Only popped in for a drink but what a lovely welcome. Sorry did not get the name of the young lady who served us, quite petite with red hair. Lovely manner. Very knowledgeable nothing was too much trouble answering our questions. Looked a very nice place and the food looked amazing too. We will definitely be back to sample the menu. Our dining experience was ruined by the rudeness of a staff member who we suspect to be the manager. This seems to be a recurring issue based on other reviews we have read. Despite multiple phone calls and an in-person visit, she claimed our reservation was not confirmed. She insisted we sit at separate tables and became confrontational when we requested to sit together. Additionally, she was irate when we mentioned a missing drink. The total bill came to over £400. We have sent several emails to express our discontent and were told we would receive a response, but have not heard back yet.

I had a fabulous evening at a beautiful pub. I attended a Gary Barlow night and enjoyed a 3-course Christmas special dinner. The staff were excellent, particularly the friendly and knowledgeable girls serving the tables. The food was delicious and flawless in both presentation and taste. I had a couple of pints of Guinness and a 'Rockin Robin' cocktail, which were all very satisfying. Gary Barlow's performance was exceptional, with all his hits sung passionately and with the expertise of someone who has been in the industry for a long time. My only recommendation would be to request a table with a good view of the stage if you plan to have dinner during a live act at the pub, as some tables...

We made a reservation for a table for 4 for Sunday lunch, but once seated and given menus, no one came over to take our order for 15 minutes. I had to go to the bar to order our drinks myself. After finally placing our order, we waited over an hour for our meals, prompting me to inquire about their status. Even after finishing our main meal, we had to wait over 40 minutes for one dessert, which was delayed because they had three more orders to cook before they could prepare it. It was frustrating that they could not prioritize our order above the others. The server, a blonde woman, seemed unhappy and did not smile.
