"The only member of staff who seemed hard at work was the lady in the kitchen with short graying hair and a bandage round her wrist. In my opinion she is an absolute asset to this cafe and without her it wouldn’t seem to run!...The only staff member clearing plates making food etc, run off her feet and not appreciated. The man at the front stood on his phone next to the coffee machine and the other two ladies on shift floated about. The food can’t be faulted, the service can as not once did anyone come back to see if the food was ok or not. If the manager reads this review, your staff are letting your business down. Coffee was also dismally cold."

Excellent service, cake and coffee. Can only rate as out of as we literally only had coffee and cake. That said the welcome was very warm, the table outside was spotless.

Gorgeous moist lemon drizzle cake. I had it twice. Today I also ordered a sandwich to take away. As I sat on the harbour wall and took half the sandwich from the bag, a big gull swooped down and snatched the other half and...gobbled down all the cheese and pickle.

We were in the area today on a day trip from our base cottage in Alnwick. We ordered fresh crab sandwiches at a cost of each . A total rip off. They were seriously lacking in both taste, quality and substance. Sorry guys..., but the fresh seafood vendor on Lindisfarne is way better. Voir le carte

We went here twice. Firstly for a tea and scone at the end of a walk. The tea was superb- hot, strong and plenty of it. The scones were fresh and tasty. Second occasion we came in to pick up sandwiches at the beginning of...a walk. Again, everything was lovely and excellent cheerful service. Recommended.

Found this cafe after parking on a day trip from our base in Alnwick. Delicious open crab sandwich and tuna sandwich served with a varied salad which you so often don't find, delicious home made mayonnaise was so good I had to ask for more!...Really friendly staff nice clean and spacious tables. Well worth the money.
