"If you're looking for the best burgers and freshly made milkshakes in St Andrews, you have to try this place! The flavors are incredible, especially the strawberry cheesecake milkshake. Unfortunately, wheelchair accessibility is not possible, but they offer takeout service. This is a great spot for dinner, with prices ranging from £10-20 per person. "Visited here with my year old grandson. I had a savoury waffle and he had sweet. His was cookie dough ice cream sundae, pretty big and he loved it. Struggled to finish it though. I had Croque Madame and it was absolutely delicious. Cheese, ham and wonderful mustard on a waffle. All ingredients are excellent quality. The staff are friendly, helpful and relaxed. We both enjoyed our visit and plan to return soon."

"We had booked a table for and were seated downstairs, we placed an order for drinks and the waitress was gone as soon as we had said which bottle of wine, with no option to order anything else (like water). After the wine was...brought to the table we waited for someone to take our food order, no one came to take the food order until (after being called over). They were very apologetic and comped the wine, but the experience was kind of ruined at that point. The starters and main courses were delicious, as were the cocktails. The deserts were not great, dishes which are normally very enjoyable with odd ingredients added, to make them more unique, but which just made them unpleasant. This was a very different experience to any I’ve had here before."

"Been coming here for years always amazing food and good take away, but today I was extremely disappointed in the service I got in tanon. I ordered one of my favourites the bento box, waited much longer than anyone else at my table only for it to come luke warm almost cold send it back and they bring it back obviously just been put in the microwave and half my chicken teriyaki gone even tho I had eaten any all I have ate was one of the dumplings. Again send it back saying half my chicken has Gone and you have obvs just heated this up in the microwave. Third time lucky it comes back and was okay didn’t give me another dumpling out of the 2 and I was disappointed with the quality of the meal which again obviously wasn’t made again fresh. The waitress was amazing and did everything she could do. The chefs on the other hand get a grip, it’s not the same as it used to be and will be avoiding for a good while now. Very disappointed"

"We decided to try Haar after seeing good reviews and it seemed that the chef was on a television show, we only knew this after eating there. We started with a round of cocktails to get into the mood that were amazing and well balanced but also interesting and it was just the start of a great evening. Being big seafood eaters we deceided to get a white wine, the staff was very helpful to direct us to something that would pair with our dishes. Overall the service was perfect, not intrusive but water was always refilled and the servers knew well the menu and were in general very knowledgable you could see the place put effort in training the staff. My highlight dish wise would the the octopus and the sea Coley! Both were perfect dishes. I really like that the cuisine is modern and inspiring yet focuses on products and flavour, there’s too many restaurants that end up with tacky dishes, not at Haar. I will definitely be back to try the tasting menu."
