"love, love, love this place for so many reasons! friendly and helpful staff. clean and tidy and just love the quirky atmosphere. we had the huge crumb with cheese, which is simply delicious, its what we have set up! beautiful, freshly cooked...crease and tasty cheese, right on the february afternoon. but this place is so much more than a fabulous place to eat. the load to which it is attached is also only an amazing place. If they are looking for an unusual gift, it is quite possible that they find something favorable and unique here."

"The restaurant boasts a large glass-fronted design next to the pub, and I was initially concerned it might be cold inside; however, it turned out to be quite warm and comfortable. We both enjoyed our meals— I opted for the fish, chips, and garden peas, although I was served mushy peas by mistake. My partner ordered the chicken tikka curry, which came with a mix of poppadom and naan bread. Both dishes were generously portioned, delicious, and reasonably priced. I had an alcoholic drink and bottled tap water, while my partner chose a soft drink. The total came to £46, which we felt was a fair price. We would definitely consider returning and would recommend it to others. As for parking, there are two areas above and below The Glen, providing plenty of space with a good tarmac surface and a flat area for convenience."

"I've just had a takeaway Sunday lunch, and l must say it's the best **** takeaway Sunday lunch lve ever had... It was huge to begin with, Came in a lovely BIG square foil takeaway container... Was very hot, so travelled well to my plate at home... it consisted of : 3 huge roasties, Loadsa meat (l had lamb) A large triangle of stuffing... Cauliflower cheese, Parsnip and Swede Carrots x 2 ways Green Beans and lashings of gravy... It was so delicious... l couldn't eat it all... my only fault l could find is that l forgot to ask for Mint Sauce... this is my second time of having their Sunday lunch and hasn't failed either time.... Book yourselves in... Very highly recommended... lm off for a rest to let my dinner get down.. Thank you chef .!!!!!!"

"We booked the Vine by phone. On arrival we were greeted by young friendly staff who showed us to our table and soon came to take our drinks order. Choice of either turkey or beef and several alternatives including vegetarian options all at £14 . A bottle of Rose was £14 and we had two soft drinks and tap water. We ordered three adult meals and one child's some . Some had turkey others had beef. All were generous portions even the child's portion was reasonable. All came with roast potatoes and roast parsnips mashed potatoes large Yorkshire pudding and gravy with peas,carrots ,swede and cauliflower cheese all served in separately. A jug of gravy was also provided as well as stuffing for those who ordered turkey. Food was excellent with just the cauliflower cheese a little undercooked for my taste but a very good Sunday lunch. We had a couple of deserts chocolate brownie with ice-cream and cheesecake with pouring cream . Not huge portions but very nice. Mum in law finished off with a latte which was excellent. All in all came to £82 for everything for all of us so not too bad for our special occasion. The vine has two car parks but the larger one could do with a bit if tidying up. The pub was renovated a couple of years ago but the one car park is quiet rough and looks a mess for the sake of a bit of a makeover. All in all a good effort"

"Got fish and chips here for the first time. Was really looking forward to it because of the positive reviews but it was just so greasy it was horrible. The box it came in was so wet with oil that it had started disintegrating. The burger was the same, the bun was squeezed and fat ran out. Coleslaw only tasted of strong onion. Unfortunately, when you charge that much it's just not good enough."
