Had a really lovely meal tonight. We all really enjoyed the food 2 x veggie and 2x lamb) Good portion sizes, men especially pleased with amount of lamb. Service very attentive and friendly- Thankyou!

My first visit and very impressed. The lad serving my partner and myself was so polite and attentive as was the landlord. Food was fantastic and excellent value for money. Highly recommend and will be returning.

The food was excellent, the sauses are fantastic, so full of flavour, and the desserts are the finishing touch. We will be back. Best pub we have found. Welcome and staff very professional and friendly, very reasonable too

I’d like to start by saying that this is a beautiful venue and the service was exceptional, however the food was let down purely by poor quality ingredients.. cheap burger buns that fall apart and frozen chips, which when charging £17 for burger and chips is disappointing, the steak and mushroom sauce however was delicious

Visited the local area and stayed nearby. This pub was recommended by hilltop barn where stayed. Ate 3 consecutive evenings. Food was excellent and varied. We did book before going or the night before, staff and landlord were friendly and very efficient. Reasonable prices. Was quieter during the week so no problem getting a table but would recommend booking for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Would highly recommend. Voir le carte

Our friends had raved about this restaurant and when they offered to meet us for be lunch we were very quick to accept, Very warm welcome, nice layout in a pub atmosphere and on a very hot day a cool interior with the option of a garden table. We ate inside and were impressed with a small but varied and interesting menu. My wife was very happy with the black pudding and then the smoked haddock with spinach mash, I had the pork schnitzel with salad, chips. Nd mushroom crème sauce. We both really enjoyed the meal which we followed with treacle tart. We really enjoyed the meal.

I have to say I was expecting great things, given all the good reviews, sadly it was not the case. Sunday lunch was well cooked, but nothing special, apart from the seafood Platter which was outstanding. Fairly mediocre roast beef lunch, small portions of veg and beef which was thinly cut from a small joint. Sweets were fine. £3.50 for a lime and soda was outrageous and they initially wanted to charge extra for more veg, given the fact they had provided so little originally, but agreed to remove from bill. Service was very attentive but lacked finesse. Felt it was overpriced for what we got. Will not be returning sorry.

Greeted as soon as we walked in the door by Kaspars the owner. This pub has exceptional service, food and decor. We were served by Jed who was very polite and knowledgable and very attentive. We ordered the chicken in a stilton and bacon cream sauce with chips and salad and lamb shank on bed of mash potatoes with vegetables. Both meals were absolutely delicious and we savoured every mouthful. We then ordered sticky Toffee pudding with cream and icecream and chocolate pudding with chocolate icecream. The desserts were very beautifully plated. The evening was very memorable and I would say it was one of the best pub meals that I have every had. Can't wait to return. Kaspars and his staff reall...
