The Alice Hawthorn - Carte

Absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, the location was perfect, and we definitely plan to return for a walk followed by lunch. I couldn't find a single fault. It was truly wonderful!

I have known the Alice Hawthorne for over 40 years and have always appreciated its atmosphere and food. We were particularly impressed by their latest transformation; the dining experience is truly exceptional.

Our visit was absolutely faultless! I couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's brilliant to finally have this famous pub back on the map after such a tedious number of false starts. The refurbishments have been worthwhile and the new dining room is stunning!

divine food and place! our group of 6 needs includes gluten-free, egg-free and veggie and secure the waiting staff by their steps. the only suggestion would be to add allergy info to the menu. the personal was well informed, treated asking and offers alternative good. we had a great evening with great food.

This was our second visit and will definitely come back again ! Beautiful decor , cosy log fire where we were seated . Staff polite and friendly and the food is amazing ! . Plenty of choice on the menu , we had 3 courses and everything was delicious . I had the Hendricks desert which was unusual but brilliant . While Harrogate and Leeds offer a wide array of dining options, I believe most of us can only name a few favorites that we return to repeatedly. Despite driving through Green Hammerton on the A59 for years, I had never taken the side road to Nun Monkton—why would I? But I was genuinely ‘blown away’ by this place. Clare and Will Topham, along with their team, are doing something remarkable at the Alice Hawthorn at the end of the road in Nun Monkton. It’s definitely worth the detour!

the alice hawthorne was recommended to us by friends who have been there a few times and always had a wonderful meal. the village around the pub has a beautiful duck and is chocolate box beautiful. we had a three-course Sunday dinner and that was excellent. my husband daughter said that the roast meat was just melted in the mouth, my roast pork was beautiful and the crunchy was crispy delicious. we all commented that the bratkartoffels were the best we ever had. the personal was nice, very friendly, the service was good, the decor is super, it was all we expected and more, we will definitely recommend this pub to our friends and we will definitely be back.

27/03/15 My first visit to The Alice. As you drive into the village of Nun Monkton, you absorb your beautiful surroundings of this quaint little village and look in awe at the green and the very tall may pole. This small village boasts the largest may pole and green in the whole of the UK. Upon arriving at the pub, I could see the chickens and vegatables growing in their gardens, this, always a pleasing sight to be had. The Alice boasts an array of outdoor seating at the front and in the secluded, manicured gardens to the rear too.
