St Petroc's Bistro - Carte

Went twice in same week, whilst visiting Padstow. Had the quiet room with about 4 tables in it. Really nice. Good service. God food wine. Expensive, but a nice family treat. Would go again.

Third time here this year, first was good, Devin LD derive not so good, tonight not going I’d food was ok, noise from family room next door for an 8pm,mostly from adults spoilt our whole evening!!

Nice building and interior. Fish/seafood was very fresh. Never had tuna steak tasting like this before. It was soft, tender and beautifully cooked a long with everything else. It felt like a special evening. Great experience from start to end. Voir le carte

We were kept waiting 45 mins for our table, having been told we must arrive on time. By this time (2.45) restaurant was half empty. Tuna was cold and overcooked. Hake was very average. Menu was not as per website more limited and much more expensive. Overall view of the restaurant was poor and very expensive for what we got. Won’t be going back.

No record of our booking, despite your email confirmation and our reply 'YES ' to your previous day 's text reminder. Just a shrug from reception and 'we can squeeze you in though '. And we did feel squeezed, with the poor service and average food. We love the Stein brand and have stayed dined on at least 30 previous occasions at various locations. At £265 for a table of three, there are many other options at this price point. Paul Ainsworth 's might be more accommodating next time...

Absolutely excellent. The night before we had dined in the Seafood Restaurant, where previously we have had excellent meals, was a little disappointing so we were a little apprehensive about pour visit to St Petrocs Bistro We needn't have worried. From the outset the staff were friendly and helpful. Our waiter was very helpful in assisting with our wine selection, even providing a small sample of the wines we were deciding between. The ambience in the restaurant was nice and relaxed and the food excellent. Certainly worth another visit. Voir le carte

An amazing restaurant, feels very homely. Like going to a superb dinner party where the host and hostess aren't panicking. We were in the dog friendly room with our friends, plenty of room for their two chows by us. Daisy our charming, bright, cheerful young waitress, managed to step round us all without any fuss. The food was top class there was a short delay for our dessert, because they had discovered that it was our friend's birthday and they were preparing a birthday treat for her. Loved every minute we spent there and will certainly return.

My wife and I came across this restaurant on our way from the car park to the harbour. Menu looked good so in we went. We went for the set 2 course meak with a glass of wine each. As starter I had the mackerel which was excellent tasted very fresh. I had the lemon sole goujons as the main with french fries. Again beautifully cooked and presented. The decor and surroundings inside were tasatful, and the service was polite and attentive but not excessively. They added a discretionary 12.5% service charge on the bill which I thought waas a bit cheeky, but we enjoyed it so much that I agreed to it without question.

Dinner at one of Rick Stein 's establishments in Padstow was mean to be the highlight of our weekend in Cornwall to celebrate my husband 's birthday. It did not turn out like that. I could not get a table at any of the other restaurants so had to go with the St. Petrock 's Bistro but luckily dogs are allowed in there which is great. If you are renting a cottage, you are not allowed to leave your dog there alone and so we were grateful that we could have our dog with us. But....we were seated in a quiet but completely airless room (it was a very warm day and early evening). Ok, we could have accepted that but it was about to get a lot worse.
