"Called in for Sunday lunch, friendly staff, asked to see menu as looking to get value for money. Roast was advertised at £14.95 more then we normally pay closer to home but we excepted that and ordered. Asked what meats they had and was told three types I picked beef my partner lamb. Beef had fat running through middle which I had to cut away, but the veg etc was lovely, I wanted to pay when we ordered which inc two drinks one coke one cider. I was told we pay after as we had a tab. The bill was more then I expected not only did they charge £5 extra for beef they had the cheek to add £3.49 service charge. Two roast and two drinks came to £47.39. I wish we had never stopped there. I won't be stopping again asthis is a giant con, advertise at one price and charge you extra once you've eaten, then give themselves a little bonus what a ****** cheek. I had better meat at a local carvery for £8.50 never going there again and would not recommend it if you want a fair deal."

6 stars, stopped for dinner in the beautiful restaurant. The food was fabulous and service excellent. If it wasn't our last night in Norfolk, I'd be back tomorrow.

Four of us ate here Saturday evening and all had different meals, everyone was more than happy with the food, very tasty, well presented and the staff were very good. Four different sweets and again all very good. Well worth a visit.

Rooms a little dated but spotless and all you could want....including a rubber duck for the bath! . Manager and staff excellent, faultless. Food very good. Excellent pub, lovely gardens, fabulous hotel and attentive service. I shall return!

Decided to call in for a light lunch after noticing the sign on the A149, pleasant welcome and attentive staff. We both opted for the club sandwich and don't think we will need to eat again today. Very good and the beer was excellent. Well worth a visit

Went for an evening meal and the food was pretty bad. I had aubergine parmigiana and the aubergine was raw. Salad was straight from a bag and fries were underdone. The waitress was friendly and efficient but the bar staff weren’t present most of the time.

Fantastic Sunday Roast in a lovely restaurant followed by drinks in the pub garden. The food was very tasty in the recently refurbished restaurant and the staff were very friendly with excellent service. The pub beer garden was a lovely place to enjoy the sunshine afterwards.

Three of us enjoyed a wonderful birthday lunch yesterday. The food was excellent, well presented and duly delivered by waitress Claire whose personality shone through. Equally General Manager Bruce's abundant enthusiasm when outlining the forthcoming plans for a massive revamp were a joy to behold. The venue's vision for the future is a breath of fresh air. We will be back!

"My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We chose Titchwell Manor due to its location on the A149. From here we can catch the Coasthopper up or down the coast. The bus stops are 100 metres outside the hotel. We were greeted in the car park and shown to our room behind the hotel. We had Basil number 21. It is a large comfortable room, with walk in shower and the fluffiest towels we have ever had. The room was very well heated and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from a civilised 8am. The plate of fresh fruit was really good. If you choose to have you eggs poached they will be the most perfect you will ever have with their lovely orange yokes. The rest of the components were equally good and served with leaf tea or great coffee. The bars each had a lovely roaring log fire, where we enjoyed a drink before our meal. The menu choices we made were ham hock, brioche piccalilli and burnt apple purée followed by venison, Jerusalem artichoke and rainbow kale. The other choice was marinated beetroot, basil pesto and goats cheese cream followed by salt baked celeriac, sage and onion with crispy kale. Both meals were outstanding. The venison was very tender and the celeriac was outstanding. On the basis of this dish, a very under stated vegetable. Service was very good and served at a speed we dictated without the continual pestering we have experienced elsewhere. We will definitely come back here as the whole stay was a great experience."
