"Having had a very nice stay at the white horse when after paying the bill which seemed very expensive when viewing the bill when we got home we found a £67 restaurant charge which we can't explain and when calculating our meal which should have been £113 we were charged £144 could be service charge added had 1 bottle of wine with meal£40 but also was £27 restaurant charges have no idea what this was for would recommend it but watch your bill very complicated to figure out and alot of hidden extras"

It was my girlfriend’s birthday and they ensured we had a lovely table and a nice note on the table. Nice touch

Food was poor. Over cooked and lacked flavour. Lovely setting and staff were nice. It was very expensive which I wouldn't mind if the food was good.

Very high quality seafood, some of which is on the expensive side. A great variety of local produce. Service was excellent. The outside tables are wonderful in good weather.

Excellent food and lovely restaurant with great views. Long wait for the desert but waiter apologised and explained why. Good disabled facilities apart from car park. Overall excellent.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Whitehorse and would like to thank them for making it all so enjoyable. All of the staff were brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. We will certainly be paying another visa it soon Many thanks

After many lovely meals here this was rather disappointing, being gluten free is not usually an issue here however it was limited this time opted for the ‘gluten free adaptable’fish and chips (this is often not available) to be told the haddock would be grilled and served with new potatoes not quite the sam so I opted for plaice which was rather flavourless, I also wasn’t told starter of scallop would be without the sauce
