After and during Covid they put their prices way up as was being Government subsidised. Prices are high and Kids and Tots are ridiculous.

Chicken chewy and dark pink ‍ not much choice at all either so good luck if there’s a fussy eater within your group, cheek to call itself a buffet

First time visit. Staff were friendly and attentive. Can be to attentive when trying to collect plates when still eating. Plenty of choice and price was good too. Would recommend to family and friends. Will definitely be returning. Had to walk to th bank as their card facilities was out of order, but didn't put us off. Voir le carte

Unfortunately I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. We haven’t been for a year and travelled by train from Lanark. We were very much looking forward to our visit but unfortunately we were disappointed. The food wasn’t too bad but the standards have definitely dipped. Don’t know if it’s worth the trek again.

This restaurant does not deserve customers. The staff are genuinely terrible and show no care for their guests. It seems like they are hiding something. How can a restaurant with so many customers not accept card payments? I don't understand why this place is always so busy. The prices are too high, they don't appreciate their customers, and the food is just average. I would recommend avoiding this place.

Had a fantastic meal at the Hup Lee with family last week. I had been before but looked up the phone number on line to book and saw a load of negative reviews! I couldn’t believe it! Been many times and always a fantastic selection of lovely fresh food. Ok it might not be the most atmospheric but it’s a cracking buffet and they easily accommodated our party of eight. I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but the meal at this restaurant turned out to be lovely with plenty of options for meat eaters. There were only 2 vegetarian options available (mushroom based and a cheese omelette), which is why I gave it 4 stars since I couldn't eat either. I would have preferred a nice vegetable option. Luckily, I eat fish when there are no vegetarian options, and the prawns were fantastic (the mussels also looked great). The desserts were delicious, and I found the drink prices to be reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.

The decline of Hup Lee is evident in the inflated prices and disappointing food quality on my recent Mother's Day visit. Despite frequenting the restaurant for years and always boasting about their delicious food, I was let down by the lack of chicken in the chicken noodle soup and sweetcorn soup, as well as the watered-down sauces. The motto "cook fresh eat fresh" may be impressive, but the food quality has certainly decreased. It's understandable that times are tough, but sacrificing profit for quality should not be an option. Hup Lee, please don't let your standards slip and disappoint loyal customers. We expect and deserve better.

My wife, my baby son and I met up with one of her friends and her baby daughter. This first and last experience wasn't very good to be honest. Firstly, cash only, and the nearest ATM is a long sprint up the main street, so that didn't give a good first impression. Secondly, we looked at the menu once finally seated, and there was a £5 charge for any food waste on the plate. I think the reason they take the plates away while you're still eating is because they can justify charging you that £5. Thirdly, the food was...okay at best.
