"We visited for Sunday lunch and the pub was quite busy with both diners and drinkers. We ordered from the Sunday Lunch menu which I did think was on the pricy side. £20 for 3 course meal. I'm not sure if that is the norm for the area though. Although the food as OK in fact the veg was very well cooked and I enjoyed the red cabbage, I found the potion size on the small side, everything is presented on the plate and I was left feeling I could have eaten a bit more, I wouldn't class myself as a hearty eater. Extra's were available at a cost. From what I remember small amount of mash, a roast potato, peas, carrots and red cabbage. One small yorkshire pud piled in the centre of the plate with 2 slices of meat. Salt in the grinder was table salt granules which went everywhere and no horseradish. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good dog friendly environment"

"We received a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic welcome at the restaurant for myself, my friend, and her little dog Woody. From the beginning, we were informed about the limited menu, but there was no reason to complain. Although my meal wasn't listed, all the individual ingredients were available in other dishes, which was perfect because I'm following a weight management plan and wanted to stick to it. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff’s willingness to be flexible and accommodating—I've rarely seen such readiness in a pub or restaurant. In fact, the last time I experienced such service was at The Ritz in London! I’d rate Breeze Hill a perfect 10 out of 10. I just wish we had visited more often, but we definitely will be back!"

"We visited here the day before and booked a table for the following evening as it’s a small venue. We had to come in quite late because it’s small, busy and gets booked up. We understand all of these things, but on the night in question we were greeted by more than one individual who seemed very stressed and spoke to us initially as if we didn’t have a table booked and couldn’t help us. This wasn’t a great first impression. Eventually we were seated at a table and given menus. We knew what we wanted to order quickly, but had to wait quite a while before anyone came over to take a drinks order. So when they did we ordered food at the same time. We waited quite some time for drinks and even longer for food. Although tables were finishing off there seemed to be a lot of tables still waiting for food. It felt a bit frantic and as if the kitchen was struggling to cope. When we received our mains they were nicely presented. The main issue was that one of the portions of chips was cold and the other was only lukewarm. The fish was okay in terms of temperature and was as expected in terms of flavour, apart from the lobster which was impossible to crack through using the basic tools provided, so it had to be returned to the kitchen for assistance which meant other food was cooling. It was a chilly evening, but the doors were open and the food cooled quicker still. The wine selection was good and the wine selected went well with the food. The desserts on offer looked amazing and we sampled them and can confirm that they were very good. The disappointment here comes from being provided with cold sides, inadequate equipment to get in to the lobster, chewy lobster meat and other fish cooling rapidly because the ambient temperature was falling rapidly and windows/doors remained open."

"We visited at a very quiet time of the year so we probably didn't see it at its best!! It's got great views from the car park and outdoor area with loads of seating ourltside. The bar areas are decent and clean. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed on the day we went as it was too quiet to open it. But the staff explained the situation which was great!! So a decent pub with a decent amount of drinks, with friendly staff! Oh, and there's a pool table Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"We have as a family used the cafe for many years pre covid so we decided to lunch at the Bay the other day . Do have to say the service was good but the experience not too good . The presentation of the food poor and varying degrees of cooking re three gammon ! Thought menu selection poor with then two specials gammon or a meat pie ! the menu used to be very varied to suit all tastes but found it very restrictive ! The plus is location and indeed the staff service keep your breakfast on over lunch ?"
