We had the Sunday roast. I was disappointed with the amount of meat (pork loin) only 2 small slices and tiny roast potatoes. My wife had the turkey and had again 2 slices but they were a decent size. An average meal to be honest. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely dog friendly pub. Whole family went for a meal there. I had the the apple and blackberry crumble with custard for pudding it was amazing.Great food and staff were really friendly and helpful. I went in with family to the hare and hounds it’s just next to Robin Hill, very friendly staff I was greeted by Jessika she was very helpful and recommended a few dishes. The food was amazing! People who view my posts will know of my dislike for green king pubs. However here on the isle of wight I have found a little gem Pleasant staff, good food ,pleasant surroundings large beer garden but next to a main road so probably noisy in summer and traffic lights so exhaust fumes as well Parking: Number of spots unknown Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5

After visiting on two separate occasions, with friends and family from the mainland. I would highly recommend this establishment. The staff are amazing and friendly, the menu's have such a great variety, with the kids menu's having such a good selection. Both occasions were very enjoyable and the staff were so welcoming. We arrived on a very rainy and windy November evening (Monday) to a warm welcome from the delightful staff. At that time, before 6 PM, we were the only customers. Our drinks were served with friendly conversation, followed quickly by a generous portion of chicken liver pâté and a comforting tomato and pepper soup. Shortly after, my husband enjoyed a steak and ale pie, while I savored what was arguably the best minted lamb shank I have ever had (other than my own, of course!). The dish came with lovely mashed potatoes and vegetables. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert. An added bonus was that my Blue Light card was graciously accepted.
