Giggling Squid - Menu

Food was ok? Some tasty dishes but the service was way below standard im afraid. We were forgotten about and seemed to take ages to get drinks.

Pretty Thai restaurant with a range of vegan options and a separate lunch menu. Not as spicy as some Thai restaurants and pricier. Service was fast and efficient. Be aware that a 10% service charge is added to your bull.

Great food and lovely atmosphere, and the restaurant called a taxi for us. I am not usually a fan of Thai food, but eating here was a real experience, and I Loved the prawn dish I had for my main meal. The lychee sorbet was also really good. The service was good, too, and we were all made to feel so welcome. Well done to you all, and lots of love xxxx

I would loved to have been able to provide a review of the food but sadly it was not meant to be. We booked a day in advance to make sure we got a table after reading the glowing reviews . Arrived on time Then sat for 25 minutes totally ignored by all members of staff, not even given an opportunity to order a drink. Left and enjoyed a rather excellent meal elsewhere

Visited the giggling squid whilst on a weekend break in Stratford. We fell on this restaurant by chance walking past after viewing online we decided to give it a try. We went for lunch and tried the tapas sets. Never have come across a place that offered this before was a great idea to try abit of a mix. It was amazing! The food is delicious! We really enjoyed the dishes we had and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Found it whilst exploring the city and returned for dinner. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Service was very quick and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was out of this world! A great selection with advice from staff on sharing ideas. The flavour from all dishes was to die for (highly recommend the Sticky Chicken!! 100% will visit again whenever we are back in Stratford!!

I have been to a few giggling squid restaurants, but this one does not live up to the others standards. The restaurant is beautifully designed, but on entry we weren’t made to feel particularly welcome. The food was served very quickly but was mediocre with very little flavour. The food was served on plates that had several chips out of them. They automatically add a 10% to the bill for service charge but the card machine is presented to you do quickly we did not notice until after we had paid. Not an experience we enjoyed.

I have been to a few giggling squid restaurants and have always been impressed. Unfortunately this branch didn’t live up to the brands good reputation. Starters were pretty good but the two curries we had were terrible. I had a Penang and the chicken was shredded and not great. The taste was totally off. Way too much tamarind which made it way to sour. Not seasoned correctly and the coconut rice might as well have been plain jasmine. The wife’s massaman wasn’t much better. Shame but wouldn’t recommend. Always a telling sign when the waiters don’t even ask you if the meal was ok.
