Forno D'Oro 1 - Carte

I got the Rigatoni Bolognese and my friend got the Lasagna. We both agreed the restaurant did not put a little bit of sugar in the tomato sauce so the pastas were a little bitter.

we went with a group of it took one because until our order was taken and even longer to serve us. probably no good choice for larger groups. yet we enjoyed our pizzas that arrived after aprox.

I ate dinner here my first night based on a recommendation and managed to get back one more time before I left because the food was that good. Their salads and pastas are fresh and flavorful it reminds me of my Italian relative's home...cooking.

Wurden im Hotel auf das Restaurant aufmerksam gemacht und gingen sofort am ersten Abend in Frankfurt dort essen. Das Ergebnis war, dass wir dann jeden Abend dort speisten. Super Karte mit guter Auswahl, tolle Preise (niedrig) und die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich und nett. Auch für Späße aufgelegt.

we came here quite late on a Friday night as a group of us and they still closed us without fuss from their outdoor dining area and the heating up. it seems to be just a waiter and a cook. also to work, so although service was a little slow the service we received was still excellent to draw attention. amazing eating and surprisingly cheap also! There aren't many restaurant options in this neighborhood, so thankfully this place is pretty good. The waitstaff were friendly and receptive. They were super kind to my daughter and gave her a special treat after dinner. The food was pretty good and prices even better....We found ourselves there on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy. Great dinner if you are in the area.

Surprisingly, there are not many restaurant choices in this area, which means we end up at Forno D'Oro more frequently than if we weren't close by. Luckily, there is always a table available, the food is pretty good and authentic and the waiters are...charming and friendly. The tables are close to one another so it can get loud at lunchtime and the service slows down so be sure to keep asking for your bill if you are in a hurry or take a seat right near the front. I've sampled the antipasto, which is large and varied as well as the caprese salad, which was fairly typical. I wish they had more fish and salad options.The pizzas are pretty good as is the pasta but I can't say that I would make...

We were brought to this restaraunt on our first evening in Frankfurt. We now live close by and it is our favorite restaraunt to eat at. The food seems to be consistently good. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a tarp over it....Only downside is that seems to be where the smokers go. The caprese salad and the tuna salad are both good. Don't get the green salad as it is just greens with a tasteless dressing on it. Our favorites among the entrees are: pizza, calzone, salmon pasta, platter with pastas, and the veal Parmesan.
