Can not praise it enough. We came with our 5 year old grandson Matthew. They made him feel very special and even let him see the kitchens. This was our first time at Cammies and the experience was great. The food was excellent, the menu was very good with options for most tastes. The staff were very attentive. When selecting a Sri Lankan based curry I was asked how spicey I wanted. I have to add the dish was excellent, just the right level of spice to enjoy the flavours. We will certainly be back and will reccommend to friends.

My grandson and I had a wonderful meal here. The food is so good. Sadly we were the only people there hence the low score for ambience, however, it is a beautiful restaurant on a busy day I could see it having a wonderful buzz. Several people told us it’s “the go to place for a Sunday roast and also on Christmas Day. “The staff were wonderful with my grandson who had never used chopsticks before , teaching him how. Wasn't impressed what we went for was a three course carvery what we got was prawn cocktail take it or leave it. Only one fish eater in the company would be me. Carvery was undercooked beef, still tough, roast pork tough and chicken/turkey (undecided) tough. The aray of vegetables was the only saving grace, though the cranberry sauce was spartan At £7.50 for the prawn cocktail, it would have been nice with a slice of lemon and some brown bread and butter Drinks were OK, but at a premium price. A totally forgettable experience one that will not be repeated

Vegetarian options: During my visit to Cammies Restaurant, I had the pleasure of experiencing a delightful vegetarian Sri Lankan meal. Been cammies for Christmas eve dinner and I pleased and honoured with the service and of course d food. For starter I ordered salmon terrine which was so delicious that I asked for more, which they happily cater. Dont jurge me, I m foodie). For main it was buffet style which was great as I made 3 rounds . The salmon was outstanding . For dessert I had lemon posset which came in lemon shell wat a talent, hats off for d chef). Over all everything went quite really well except one thing. The table next to us was a big group) was quite annoying as I hot lady was getting so hot that she was just getting annoyed and complaining with everything at the venue ...she was a bit of free entertainment/dr...
