"Went here for lunch on a cold wet May day (will it ever get nice), and glad we did. I had the smoked haddock chowder which was lovely and thick and very fishy. Partner had the Coronation Scallops which I tried and we both agreed were delicous. Partner then had the sea bass which again was well cooked and presented. I had the halibut, which to be honest was very nice, but needed something to lift it, just felt a little bland, although again it was well cooked and presented. I finnished off with the rhubarb and custard crumble. Not quite what you expect as the custard was set with the rhubarb placed on it with the crumble sprinkled on top. Now this is not the traditional way of doing it but it was absolutely gorgeuos. The rhubarb especialy was not cooked to a mush, but remained as cut whilst still being soft meaning it retained all its flavour. Soooooo good. We found the staff very friendly, especialy the young lad who chatted away quite happily, especialy about the cider I had which was one I had never heard off but I think I'm addicted to. Would deffinately go back."

"Been here several times with intention of chatting and having several coffees. Seating is upstairs and order and cash desk are downstairs as you come in. Thing is that this facility also has to deal with the take-away service of drinks, ice cream etc and a queue builds up. Irrespective of whether you are sitting in or using take-away you join the same queue which can be out on the street. This can be annoying enough for the first order but for further orders it feels totally inappropriate. The staff are very pleasant and the coffees are quite acceptable but those running the business really need to find a solution to the above issue in my opinion. I know one of my friends suggested we have a look for alternative venues next time we meet, which is a shame as otherwise a great location and ambience. On an earlier visit (ie not June) I mentioned to above issue which I described as not working for the sitting in customers to which I was given the reply Oh well it works for us . I 'm not often lost for words.! Nearly a very good little coffee shop."

"It’s hard not eating fish and chips when you are in a place like Stonehaven. I ordered the MSC Standard Haddock with chips for £10.30. You can tell the fish was fresh from the first bite. It was extremely delicious. Sadly the tartar sauce is bot included with the chips so do not forget to order one for £1. My only complaint would be about the portion sizes. I wish there were a little more chips, but considering how cheap the prices are you can just buy another portion of chips. Definitely give it a go when you are in the area."

"There are 2 entrances to Carron to Mumbai, we entered from the street side and walked into an unmanned bar, a girl did eventually appear and asked if we had a table booked we had 2 friends joining us so asked if we could wait for them in the bar which wasn't a problem but weren't offered a drink while we waited, another waiter appeared a few minutes later and aknowleged us and we asked if we could have a drink which he seemed to go to another bar for and then the drinks were brought. Apart from the initial welcome the rest of the evening was very enjoyable. The restaurant is a whole different world to the front of house and the waiters are very knowledgeable and very good at recommending dishes if you are unsure what to choose, they did seem a little understaffed and the younger staff were not so knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend and visit again"

"Last night, we decided to dine at Gino's, as we enjoy supporting local businesses. Overall, we had a cozy and comfortable experience and enjoyed the wide variety of options on the menu. The front of house staff were kind and efficient, though we were not asked about our food until we were leaving. Despite this, we had no complaints about the delicious and fresh food, which was also reasonably priced. We were disappointed that the chef did not greet our table, but we still recommend this restaurant for those looking for a local spot in Stonehaven. The vegetarian options are plentiful, there is on street parking available, and the atmosphere gives off an authentic Italian vibe. The price range is £10-20 per person for dinner."
