Brown Cow Inn - Carte

Been here tonight with friends. Had the Cumberland sausage with mustard mash, plentiful extremely tasty. The staff were very helpful and we were made to feel so welcome. 10/10 is our vote to the team there.

Visited this pub for a meal while staying locally with friends and family what can I say it was amazing the food was delicious the hunters chicken was beautiful crispy beef the same an plenty on the plate definitely coming back .

This is a fantastic country pub! I haven't had gammon and eggs this good in years. The food is top quality, the portions are generous, and it's the perfect place to enjoy a nice beer. We stumbled upon this gem during a short getaway and couldn't be happier. Voir le carte

Stopped off purely by chance one afternoon while passing through Wabberthwaite. Very friendly and welcoming staff as soon as we walked in. Service was fast, food was great, and the bill was relatively low compared to other places in Cumbria. Highly recommended.

Went here last night. This is a proper traditional pub with lovely atmosphere. We had very tasty food and the portions are generous. Decent wine too.. By the way, the veggie and vegan options are excellent which frankly we didn’t expect. So,Brown Cow, we are really glad we tried you. Lovely pub!

Our experience at this restaurant was fantastic. Despite being very busy, Jon P managed to find us a table. The service was excellent, with a natural friendliness. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes at a very reasonable price. Everything was freshly cooked to order, and the chips were particularly amazing. I would like to thank Jon and Richard, the chef, for turning a potentially bad situation (being told we had to book at another restaurant, The Ratty Arms) into a great experience with delicious food and excellent service. We stayed at the Ravenglass Railway so we dined out for breakfast here as we’d seen the place as we travelled there. The breakfast was huge and I couldn’t have finished it had I not eaten for two days! My wife had a ‘half breakfast’ and she couldn’t even finish that! The quality of the ingredients and the cooking was as good as it gets, first class ten out of ten, maybe even eleven out of ten. When I asked the Landlord if anyone ever finished it, he said that they wouldn’t get away with having it any smaller!! They must have huge appetites in Cumbria. Highly recommended and if we visit the area again then a stop here is certain.

Awesome food, the portions were huge, cooked to perfection and as someone who prides themselves in being able to put a good meal away..... I was nearly beaten by a starter and main . The staff were friendly, interacted well and we had a good banter with them. Sunset views (weather dependent). On the A595 south of Ravenglass not too far round from the Corney fell turning so look out as its right on the main road. We used our camper van overnight in their carpark which is fine as long as you get food/drinks and ask.... basic courtesy and manners really. There are a few nice walks down to and on the coast from here also so cannot fault this place at all

Upon discovering the Brown Cow before our visit, we decided to stay locally and were greeted with a very positive first impression. The old-school pub atmosphere was to my liking, and we received a lovely welcome alongside a roaring fire and friendly locals and staff. The sight of the stuffed fox caught my attention, and though I found it sad, I appreciated that it was being preserved for everyone to enjoy. I enjoyed two pints of Guinness and two halves of cider, which were very good. Feeling adventurous, I ordered lunch - one gammon and one Cumberland sausage with black pudding. Shortly after, two plates were delivered to our table with delicious and satisfying meals. The chips were fantast... Voir le carte
