Amazing medieval style pub that has a decent selection of vegan options.

There aren't many places to get decent vegan food in the area so worth visiting if nearby. The Strands used to have a big vegan menu but has gone down to 3 options now for the mains chilli, a burger, and puttanesca pasta). The food is fairly standard pub food but at very high prices £18 for a main).

a nice old fashion pub friendly staff and a few options for vegan more for vegetarian and a few for gluten-free I had the vegan afteros no microwave in the many cooked, very nice but would have done with a little more salsa. we both shared the tweebelbarji! the most beautiful thing I tasted in a long time, very light and the curry pickle was amazing Voir le carte

A lovely old fashioned pub Friendly staff And a few options for Vegan More for vegetarian and a few for gluten free I had the Vegan nachos no microwave cooked in the oven , very nice but could have done with a little more salsa . We both shared the onion barji ! The nicest thing I’ve tasted in a long time , very light and the curry pickle was amazing

Wow! I am still in disbelief about my experience at this restaurant. Starting with a pint of Rauchbier, followed by Dickies Dunkel Green Bullet, and finishing with two delicious and generously sized meals, all at a reasonable price. It's rare to find such great value in Britain, but the Strands Inn has nailed it! I will definitely be returning in the future.

3 of us ordered this court and were completely blown away, how good it was. definitiw one of the best vegan wellingtons I had for a long time. it came with carrots, very small tweepers and braided cauliflowers. pity that the gravur was not vegan, but I would order again and again and in the did I ordered the wellington on my own faust after the main dish because it was only so good. If I could rate this dish 5 I would. 3 of us ordered this dish and were completely blown away how good it was. Definitely one of the best vegan Wellingtons I've had in a long time. It came with carrots, whole small onions and braised cabbage. Shame the gravy wasn't vegan but I would still order this again and again and in fact I ordered the Wellington on its own after the main dish because it was just SO SO good.

Great beer, delicious food, and adorable dogs galore! Located in one of the most stunning parts of England, this inn also boasts its own brewery. My boyfriend was over the moon when he found out about this place. We spent four days here, and it was the highlight of our two-week trip. The owners are incredibly kind, and everyone made us feel right at home. I was torn between giving them 4 or 5 stars because the food was somewhat lacking at times. However, on a busy bank holiday Sunday when all other options had run out of food, the kitchen at the Strands Inn came to our rescue with a hearty roast dinner. So, definitely a deserving 5 stars.

This lovely pub/hotel had several vegan options all of which sounded amazing! I went here with my husband (also vegan) for starters I got the cauliflower bites which came with a delightful mint mayo dip my husband ordered onion bhajis which came with a tangy mango chutney and was also lovely! For our main, we both initially ordered banana blossom fish and chips but they only had enough for one portion so my husband ordered the vegan lasagna. Both mains were brilliant! They allow dogs inside and were so accommodating for our female dog who can be wary of strangers (training ongoing). Staff were so lovely,the atmosphere was nice and the beer even better!
