"I expected this place to be fantastic from a recommendation, food was good but not great. One massive let down from my experience….if you are going to an establishment like this you would expect the cheesecake to be a proper one that is baked, not just cream cheese with a biscuit base. I think they forgot to add vanilla too, it was limp and had no flavour at all, just cream cheese and I didnt eat it. The only plus side of my experience was the staff were outstanding, polite, attentive and just all round nice, a credit to the place without doubt, shame the food didn’t match up."

the bay horse inn is a large local pub that serves well over average pub food. local ingredients well cooked in good environment. exactly what I was looking for and I would be very happy to return.

Absolutely brilliant gourmet pub restaurant. All food sourced from local suppliers. Three of us for a birthday dinner. Sampled duck leg.fillet steak and Goosnargh chicken breast.Not cheap but then good quality food and service shouldn't be.We will be back....oh and the sticky toffee pudding is yum!

last night we celebrated a 50th birthday in the bay horse and had such a wonderful evening. the chefpatron, craig wilkinson, serves stunning eating and his wife nicola, is the perfect host who has also helped in organizing the event. all have enjoyed the wonderful kitchen and the beautiful location very much. we were also blessed with a beautiful summer evening and enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in the garden area. highly recommended!

We recently went to the barn restaurant for their Spanish evening. The tapas were good, but the paella was disappointing. It seemed like the chef lacked experience with a plain white rice base and only a few prawns on top. The musicians were supposed to play Spanish music, but it turned into a random practice session of various songs. We couldn't recognize any Spanish music, and some of it even sounded more like Moroccan Kazbar music.
