The White Cross - Carte

Very nicely done pub on the side of the canal in Lancaster, with friendly service and great food.

The restaurant offers a fantastic variety of expertly brewed beers. The pan-fried chicken breast main dish was cooked perfectly.

The White Cross is breathtaking aswell as the view. The food is excellent,the staff very professional,mask wearing is enforced which is reassuring. This place is definitely A MUST . Voir le carte

Food is really good, staff are great and location is beautiful. As people have commented on in previous reviews the drinks can be on the more expensive side but I would normally expect that in a classier establishment.

Had a great meal here yesterday lovely food, attentive service and relaxing atmosphere. Good value for money. Plenty of space too. We came from Manchester to spend the afternoon and evening in Lancaster. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you.

We had a lovely day at The White Cross. Three of us had fish and chips. The batter was delicious and crispy and the fish was perfect and fresh. I had the Thai Penang prawn curry which was also divine. The service was efficient and very friendly and sitting by the canal was restful and relaxing. A perfect spot. Voir le carte

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and it was the perfect place to enjoy quality time with loved ones. I'm looking forward to bringing my partner there for a romantic evening in the future.

This bar and restaurant on Lancaster Canal is a great find. The service is friendly and efficient, the food is delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. I highly recommend trying the ham hock with duck egg and hand-cut chips - it's delicious. As a Londoner, I always appreciate the friendly northern hospitality and courteous service. They also have a good selection of ales for those who enjoy them.

I don't write many low star reviews but I was quite disappointed with my visit to the White Cross. The venue is lovely and I'm sure would make a lovely stop off for a few beers on a nice summers day. Unfortunately our group meal wasn't great, half the menu was not available (that isn't an exaggeration), I wish we had been told this when we booked. The food we did get was on the poor side of average, I got the feeling their chef was a stand in.. If we go again we will no doubt just hit the nice selection of beers they have. Voir le carte
