Always enjoy a lunch or coffee at Barley Mow! Last week after donating blood, went for my lunch with my partner! I fainted Kath came to my aid ,got staff to bring cold compresses, she was wonderful!! I appreciated everything she did for us and we returned this week. Thank you again !! Food: 5 Service: 5

The staff were great, the food was ok but one of us had chicken which was uncooked. We sat in the children's area, for my husbands 60th , which had no atmosphere. A bit disappointing. No where did it say that because we were bringing our grandchildren that we were banished to the kids area. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

We attended as a party of 19 and we visited here as they have plenty of room for wheel chair access. It's a typical pub environment and was warm/ cosy. The staff were friendly and the drinks were fine, the food was just OK. I personally had the fish and chips, where the fish was mostly batter and not much fish. The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. We have been here a few times and each time have tried a different item from the menu. Consistency with the quality of the food is spot on. Its a very family friendly place and even when it's packed and busy the food and service are still excellent. Kid-friendliness: The staff were amazing with the kids, The kids also got to enjoy time in the wakey warehouse after we had eaten. Price per person: £20–30

Although the food was a reasonable price, with decent portions and good quality, the drinks were a different matter. I ordered a pint of blackcurrant squash with tap water. It was very weak, hardly any flavour, which I can put up with, until I got the bill... £2-80! I will just ask for a glass of water the next time I go to a Green King . Nice decor and atmosphere but the food and service were sub standard. The pub was relatively quiet, 5pm on a Saturday evening yet drinks took a long time, food was incorrect. There were items missing and to avoid more disappointment we just said remove from bill rather than supply. Had the spicy hot honey chicken burger but tasted no hot honey. £25pp but I think next time I’ll choose Wetherspoons.
