"The Wolseley Arms is a charming pub with a cozy country feel. The decor is inviting, especially around Christmas time with the open fires. It reminded me of the pub from the movie "The Holiday." The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable at £20-30 per person. The food is excellent, with recommended dishes including the Belgian Chocolate Brownie and the Hunters Chicken Schnitzel. Overall, I highly recommend The Wolseley Arms for a great dining experience."

"Upon arrival to the infamous Clifford Arms, located on the main road that travels through central Great Haywood. Whilst standing outside the ancient establishment, a demonic voice beckoned me towards the old fashioned building; with creamy white stripes which ran down the exterior of the building. Breaking up the white stripes was the occasional pillar of black worn timber framing the building. Entering the building i was greeted by a rather flabby gentleman who was perhaps aged in his late sixties. The Gentleman guided me towards a tree stump with multiple rows of pegs scented like a glorious voyage on the high seas scattered about it, where i deposited my worn and tattered coat for it to rest and simmer amongst the modern coats. However, what i found the most peculiar was a damp and soggy welly rack where i was requested to leave my boots. After leaving my clothing by the front door, I was guided towards a natural table with a slight wobble to it that aggressively and violently flung any glass of liquid across the room. after a noticeably short wait i was greeted by a group of sixteen children who surrounded me and demanded my order. I requested a steak and ale pie from the amazing chef working inside of the kitchen. After providing my order to the children a demonic snarl was heard coming from behind the bar and seconds later a small and bruised child ran out with a plate (made from browned china). the plate was placed down in front of me and spun 8 times until the child was satisfied whit the direction at which the pie was facing. After slicing into the golden pie a foul stench was smelt similar to that of blue-green algae which sits on the surface of the ocean (which just so happens to be my favourite scent). upon stuffing half of the cold pie into my mouth, I bit into a tuft of flavourful fur which got stuck into my teeth and wound around my teeth like wire. After finishing my delightful meal i noticed that the room was of course swaying as if i was sailing on the high seas during a day with a rather aggressive wave pattern; this off course was the pinnacle of my experience and took me back to the joys of my youth when i frequently sailed along the seas. "Wanted to go somewhere nice for breakfast where could be better than the Moat House. First checked what time the breakfast service was 9.00am 11.00am so booked for 5 adults 2 children 10.00am. Arrived a little early, as soon as we got there we were asked by the server to order I explained that there was 4 more to come and we would wait until they arrived we were then approached by a male member of staff who said we needed to order as breakfast finished at 10.00am. The rest of the party arrived at 10.07am as soon as they arrived they asked to order (everything so rushed) no flexibility with ordering for the children asked for egg on toast told no it had to be off the menu. As soon as we had finished the table was cleared no time for another tea or coffee. There was no others having breakfast there on this day. On a good note food good bad note service poor."

"We called in here today on our way back from a cold walk through the chase. We were greeted by a lovely lady who seated our family of 5 straightaway. Then a young man named Dan took our order. Now we have a very fussy eater and nothing was too much trouble for Dan, he helped with changing things around for her, and explained how the kids could eat for £1 during the holiday too, very happily surprised. But he was ever so patient, and very helpful. Then the food come, and 4 out of 5 of us had ordered different burgers, and all 4 of us said it was THE nicest burger we'd ever had! Tasty, very filling and well presented. After food the 3 kids went and had a play on the outdoor equipment before we come home.We've definitely found our new eating out place. Highly recommend this place! Friendly/helpful staff, comfortable and cosy environment, delicious food, great price. Win win. Oh and the hubby said they do a wicked pint of peroni too Kid-friendliness: The staff were lovely to my little ones and catered to the pickyness without any trouble"

"We went to Wolsley Arms for my birthday and it didn't disapoint. We arrived a few minutes earlier than the time we originally booked but this wasn't an issue and we were shown to our table. We were greeted by Karen who looked after us throughout our meal, with nothing being to much trouble. Food arrived in good time, piping hot and delicious, will definitely go back again."
