"Awful dining experience in 55North; we (x2 adults, x2 kids) popped in for lunch on Friday lunchtime. It soon became apparent why the restaurant wasn't super busy despite having amazing view of the coastline. The service was in disarray, people openly complaining about the slow service, despite not being overly busy, we witnessed several tables not get served so they left. We stuck it out as the kids were hungry. We ordered a few different items including pizza onion rings goujons chips. The kids didn't eat their pizza as it was simply awful, the onion rings were completely inedible, garlic mayo so strong it was inedible, awful salad with chips. The floor of the restaurant was so dirty. We spoke to staff about the quality of the food and service but all they did was shrug their shoulders. One of the worst dining experiences in Ireland! 2 stars only for atmosphere due to the fantastic view. Avoid this place at all costs."

We ate at the bistro due to a late arrival on holiday. The restaurant upstairs is gorgeous with wonderful views and service. The bistro was closing but still let us order takeaway, and the food was delicious!

The restaurant has a beautiful view and a charming setting. The breakfast was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning. I rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. Voir le carte

Busy, family-friendly (loud), high-capacity, quick turnaround, average restaurant, with spectacular ocean view.... Ugh. Food quality and flavor was below my expectation. Wine selection was above average. Kid-friendliness: Lots of noisy kids. Parking: Good luck finding street parking. Service: Dine in

Waiter took us to our table.,cleaned and set the table, then waited for the waiter to come and take our order and waited and waited for 20 minutes. Eventually we got a waiters attention, then he told us it was self service and we had to order at the counter. No signs anywhere to say so. Very bad. So beware of this. Food: 3 Service: 1

We are regular customers here. Typically everything is spot on. We entered the restaurant and what felt like a pub environment, we couldn't hear anyone sitting next to us and all the tables surrounding us were struggling to hear eachothwr because of one large loud table. They had clearly finished their food and were continuing to order drinks and be excessively loud. I'm not a karen or a spoil sport but it was not nice, I did not enjoy my meal with my family and it will put us off coming back in the future. Voir le carte

I met a friend for lunch at this restaurant. We ordered at the counter and paid with a card. Our soft drinks arrived promptly, but after chatting for about 45 minutes, we realized our food was taking a long time. I asked a staff member about our order, and they initially questioned if I had paid. I confirmed that I had already paid. They then said the kitchen staff had sent out the food and asked if we were sure we hadn't received it. It was a very disappointing experience, but eventually, our order was served.

There are a lot of negative reviews about this place, but I have to disagree with most of them. I first visited 55 North many years ago when it first opened. The food was delicious and the menu was extensive. However, it had been a long time since my last visit so we decided to give it another try. The restaurant's location and views of the East Strand are just as beautiful as I remembered. However, I noticed that the menu had been scaled back and seemed to focus on typical burger and fish and chips options, with the exception of their upscale fish and chips dish. We started with the pulled pork tacos, which were filled with flavorful pork and fresh salads, and then had the upscale fish and...

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
