"Upon arrival we were shown to our room which was very pleasant. The snug was very snug which seemed more of a meeting point for gossiping staff behind the bar and their friends. The meal was nice enough albeit almost thrown onto the table in a rush, the service was appalling. Very slow, our bottle of wine sat on the bar for ages with no sign of staff aware of it, eventually we took it ourselves. We asked for a port twice to go with our cheese but finished the cheese before the staff even got their act together to take the bottle from the shelf (we cancelled the port). We were not approached again for coffee or anything else, we left the restaurant and retired to our room. The staff seemed to be drifting around in the three separate restaurant rooms with no clear idea of who was doing what. The management was very poor. I wouldn’t say they were under staffed just poorly managed. The bedroom was very noisy from the bar downstairs, scraping tables and chairs in the afternoon through to late evening. We made a coffee in the room to find there wasn’t any sugar and no means of getting any unless we dressed ourselves again the go to the bar. Breakfast was poor, very dry toast, sloppy undercooked boiled egg and the garden breakfast which claimed to have halloumi cheese was substituted with a rather nasty looking black pudding. All in all a very disappointing visit and an expensive one at that."

"Food is overpriced, service is ‘interesting’. A starter of venison and pecorino ravioli is £9.50. For that you get two small (and I do mean small) ravioli swimming in a sea of melted truffle butter. Two ravioli for £9.50, it should have tasted amazing at that price. It was mediocre at best. To be fair, the rest of the meal wasn’t bad, it’s just overpriced for what it is. At these prices the Wroxham Hotel restaurant is competing with the nearby Norfolk Mead, and several very good restaurants in Norwich, and there is simply no comparison the prices charged by the Wroxham Hotel restaurant are just not justified given the nearby competition. In terms of the service, the staff are friendly, but they’re just not ‘on it’ and lack basic courtesy. We were left hanging around on arrival, then we were put on a table next to a couple with a large dog not a problem for us as we have dogs, but the staff weren’t to know that and should have asked before seating us. When we asked for the bill, we were left with the card machine whilst the waitress stood next to the table and had an extended conversation with one of her friends. She did apologise to us afterwards, but it was just rude to do that in the first place. It’s also a noisy restaurant, which makes it quite difficult for people who wear hearing aids. Some acoustic panels to absorb some of the sound would help. It’s a pity with this being a local restaurant to us that this was our experience, as we enjoy going out and don’t mind paying a bit more for a good dining experience. Unfortunately, the standard set when we dined there was well below the expectations we had given the prices charged."

"The tables were not clean and albeit 'some ' tables were 'eventually ' being cleared they were not being wiped and remnants of food and stains remained on many of them. I watched a staff member clear some of the tables (not all) but not once did he wipe them clean. I queried this with him stating that we had been there for 40 minutes and the same dirty tables remained unwiped. There were still trays of dirty crockery on some tables which had been there for a long time. I also pointed this out to him. It looked so shoddy and dirty and not nice to see for new Customers arriving at the Restaurant to eat drink. His excuse was that there were some clean tables left for people to sit at (amongst all the dirty ones) and that they would be finishing service soon anyhow. I pointed out that there were still more people coming in and queuing and that we had sat there for 40 minutes without seeing the tables being wiped once during that time. I expressed my concerns re cleanliness especially as we ourselves are trying to be so cautious during these Covid times. It was not nice to sit amongst the mess! He went away came out from the kitchen again obviously trying to prove a point that he had 'no intention whatsoever ' of doing anything about wiping the tables. His attitude was rude and very discourteous. We decided to leave without purchasing anything else. Before leaving, I told him that I would be writing a review .... his response was 'that 's fine '! He just did not care! We did go downstairs to report this to a member of the management team before leaving the store. The Manager expressed his concern and stated that he would be following this up with the staff member. I hope he did does. For us, it will be a 'no return ' as cleanliness (and staff rudeness) is definitely an issue. I suggest all Customers look out for this should they eat drink here in the future."

"I am not a connoisseur of fast food, as I generally do not like to go to McDonald's because there is no food that would be natural there, butI was very surprised how the service works, I was very much surprised how elderly women treated me who worked with clients, they did everything possible to ensure that clients received all possible help, support and attention. Disinfection was constantly taking place. Where to get up and where you can get your order I was also surprised How quickly we were served because I specially ordered several types of hamburgers in order to see how quickly it will be done we were served within 5-7 minutes it was great because I was really hungry We were going about business all day and decided to go to this McDonald's restaurant so Magdonal's I bet five if I could put 10 Because for me in general it matters a lot How the service works and how people work in this restaurant with clients it costs me a lot also noticed that young guys constantly came and constantly there were people who took the orderThis means that you can also order food. If you do not want to leave the house, there are also places near this building where you can drive up by car and pick up your order. you see what exactly you want to pay with a card That is, you do not need anywhere to stand in line and you will be given a check by which you can receive what you ordered because all this is done in a computer and all this is done so that people do not wait and people did not have more questions at the checkout, so it is very convenient, it is very fast, so thanks to the administration and thanks to those people, especially those women who stood at the entrance and constantly communicated constantly smiled and were very friendly customers, I was very pleased. and I was also very amused by the little toy, I will give it to my brother, we named it Tobby!!!"
