"I am not a connoisseur of fast food, as I generally do not like to go to McDonald's because there is no food that would be natural there, butI was very surprised how the service works, I was very much surprised how elderly women treated me who worked with clients, they did everything possible to ensure that clients received all possible help, support and attention. Disinfection was constantly taking place. Where to get up and where you can get your order I was also surprised How quickly we were served because I specially ordered several types of hamburgers in order to see how quickly it will be done we were served within 5-7 minutes it was great because I was really hungry We were going about business all day and decided to go to this McDonald's restaurant so Magdonal's I bet five if I could put 10 Because for me in general it matters a lot How the service works and how people work in this restaurant with clients it costs me a lot also noticed that young guys constantly came and constantly there were people who took the orderThis means that you can also order food. If you do not want to leave the house, there are also places near this building where you can drive up by car and pick up your order. you see what exactly you want to pay with a card That is, you do not need anywhere to stand in line and you will be given a check by which you can receive what you ordered because all this is done in a computer and all this is done so that people do not wait and people did not have more questions at the checkout, so it is very convenient, it is very fast, so thanks to the administration and thanks to those people, especially those women who stood at the entrance and constantly communicated constantly smiled and were very friendly customers, I was very pleased. and I was also very amused by the little toy, I will give it to my brother, we named it Tobby!!!"

"Our daughter bought us a voucher for afternoon Tea which we were very much looking forward to. We chose to go to the Aylsham venue rather than Norwich so that we could enjoy a visit to the town both before and after the event. Our time was booked for 12.00noon. We were shown to our table, everything was explained and we were invited to look at the beautiful selection of cakes, scones, teas and coffees available. The choice of sandwiches and various bread options..... So far so good. The place was busy but not crowded. My wife and I were really enjoying our food in a quaint little place..... However one of the waitresses said three times to us that they could provide boxes for anything we wanted to take home if we couldnt manage to eat it straight away.....! It got to 1.20 pm and we were just about to start to eat the final tier of what looked like delicious cake when the same waitress came to our table and said..... The next people were here and could we please consider finishing up to vacate the table ! At no time were we told that there was a time limit ,never mind a 90 minute time limit to enjoy our otherwise lovely afternoon tea. I have since checked out the website and to my knowledge there is nothing on there to say that the clock is being watched and a fast food mentality is enforced upon customers. I make a point of writing this review as a warning to others so that they can get a starting and leaving time agreed before the drive over 40 miles as we did to visit this place."

"Food is overpriced, service is ‘interesting’. A starter of venison and pecorino ravioli is £9.50. For that you get two small (and I do mean small) ravioli swimming in a sea of melted truffle butter. Two ravioli for £9.50, it should have tasted amazing at that price. It was mediocre at best. To be fair, the rest of the meal wasn’t bad, it’s just overpriced for what it is. At these prices the Wroxham Hotel restaurant is competing with the nearby Norfolk Mead, and several very good restaurants in Norwich, and there is simply no comparison the prices charged by the Wroxham Hotel restaurant are just not justified given the nearby competition. In terms of the service, the staff are friendly, but they’re just not ‘on it’ and lack basic courtesy. We were left hanging around on arrival, then we were put on a table next to a couple with a large dog not a problem for us as we have dogs, but the staff weren’t to know that and should have asked before seating us. When we asked for the bill, we were left with the card machine whilst the waitress stood next to the table and had an extended conversation with one of her friends. She did apologise to us afterwards, but it was just rude to do that in the first place. It’s also a noisy restaurant, which makes it quite difficult for people who wear hearing aids. Some acoustic panels to absorb some of the sound would help. It’s a pity with this being a local restaurant to us that this was our experience, as we enjoy going out and don’t mind paying a bit more for a good dining experience. Unfortunately, the standard set when we dined there was well below the expectations we had given the prices charged."

"Dear Mr Riley. Whilst you were on vacation I stayed at your hotel, with my partner, for three nights from Tuesday 20th August. We had been looking forward to some excellent food in the evenings, especially having been informed by friends and family that the 1559 restaurant had received high praise from the restaurant guides and had 2 AA Rosettes, not an easy task to achieve. I only wish I had done further research as it turns out the awards were given to the former management at Marriott. In all honesty the service and food on that first night was a complete travesty. On check in we were told it would be advisable to book a table but that none were available until 8 pm. Fair enough, that gave us plenty of time to have a look around the grounds. Arrived at the restaurant entrance at 8 pm to be told by the young lady hostess that there would be a further delay as the kitchen had just received an order for a table of 10 or 12. We were seated at 8.30. Menus given, nothing like our expectations, totally boring. 8.40 pm our order was taken, including an order for wine and water. Someone came along to tell us there would be a further delay. To be honest, if I had not previously had a drink at that point we would have left to find somewhere local to eat. We waited, and waited, and waited! I had ordered a starter of calamari, and we both ordered the sea bass fillet for main course. at 9.15 pm our main courses were served, by a lady who might have been the restaurant manager or duty manager. I asked where my starter was. She took the sea bass back to the kitchen. I asked her to ensure the sea bass would not just be re-heated and served again and that fresh fish would be prepared. At 9.20 pm my starter was served: 5 pieces of ready battered squid rings with a little salad an mayo dip. For a 2 Rosette restaurant I would have expected at least fresh battered squid rather than the factory produced stuff from Brakes or 3663, especially at the prices charged. Still waiting for the wine! It was delivered at 9.25 pm as the starter plate was cleared. Our sea bass main course was delivered again at 9.30 pm. We expected crispy skin on one side and succulent flesh on the other, a simple cooking process. What we received was an overcooked and dry fillet of fish with some crushed potatoes. We ate what we could in order to satisfy basic hunger and left at 9.45 having paid our bill. Apart from one apology when taking away my starter plate nothing more was said by the manageress or staff. I have never seen a more incompetent team working in a restaurant, the young, scruffily dressed, lady hostess did little more than wander around looking confused; the male waiters, I think two of them, were equally incompetent. The next two nights you lost significant revenue as we decided to eat elsewhere. I can heartily recommend the near by Blue Boar Inn. Excellent food and service. On the plus side, we had booked B&B. The following morning we rather anxiously went down to the dining room. We were welcomed at the host desk and the buffet system explained and then asked to find our own table. The food was much better and certainly comparable to many other hotels of a similar type. Unfortunately, replenishment of the buffet was more haphazard. I asked for more yogurt and some lemon slices for my tea. It came out, eventually. The hot food was of a good standard. The room was comfortable and clean and well serviced except on the last morning when we noticed we had only been given one bath towel. I went downstairs and helped my self from a bale of clean towels on the trolleys cluttering the lobby. All in all, it seems to me that the hotel has been treated as something of a cash cow and maintenance neglected. There are areas that have not been looked after well and would suggest a carefully thought out plan of maintenance is conducted. As it stands, and based on our personal experience, we cannot justify more than one trip adviser points. Yours sincerely Norman Dinsdale"
